Hanging a heavy mirror above fireplace

Thanks for everyones input on this. Much appreciated. I got a decent set of larger screws w/ wall plugs and the mirror is now hanging securely on the wall.

Quartz - not 100% sure but I'll see if I can pop it on some scales I'd say 10-15Kg at a guess. Cleisthenes - a link would be great thank you!

Hanging a heavy mirror above fireplace

Hi everyone I would really appreciate some advice here. I have a new heavy round mirror (it's just under a meter wide and metal) and I want to hang it above my fireplace. The wall is plaster over brickwork (chimney) and the mirror has a single hole to hang at the top. I know I need an...

Any roofers in here? Advice needed!

Thanks all. That's the way I'm going to go I think - leave it. It's not an abnormal roofing setup....it's just not the 'modern' way of doing things is it. I'm just stressing about anything that could scupper the process but appreciate your input. Edit: DXP55 - yes! we have had that happen ONCE...

Any roofers in here? Advice needed!

Hi there, I have my house on the market and have a question re: the roof. It's an old style roof with no 'lining' and when you go up in to the loft you can see the tiles directly on the roof. Now, I remember when buying many years ago our homebuyers survey said that while the roof was fine if...

    Starting a Website

Exactly. Where I used to work we specifically did that kind of site and could bang out a site of that ilk for a few thousand. If spec got complicated the price could fluctuate a lot.

    Starting a Website

£20k isn't silly money. Far from it. If you're building a complex site from the ground up then it's going to cost. I've worked on sites of this ilk that are much more expensive than that. To build this kind of system you need experienced, skilled developers. You might be able to `learn to code`...

Technically I could write the system yes but it'd be in conflict with my full-time job. Happy to help though so if you have any questions you can always drop me an email (see in trust) and I'll advise where I can.

    Starting a Website

I used to write job board / agency websites for a good 6 or 7 years. What you're talking about price-wise would probably set you back a good £2-3k I'd imagine. That price could fluctuate either way - it depends how picky you want to be in terms of having bespoke functionality compared to an...

Thought I would share some code with my fellow MVC .net developers

AngularJS looks good. Isn't it very problematic with SEO as it's rather asynchronous-JS heavy??

    ASP.Net MVC View Question

In very simple terms, this is what you'd need: In your controller, you would need an Action for "Create", "Edit" and "Delete". Each action wouild have a corresponding view of the same name. Create and Edit views would be forms matching your Enrolement model setup. The Create view you would...
