I tried all of the different link aggregation options but performance was the same on them all so my suspicion is that link aggregation only really helps if multiple PCs access the NAS simultaneously.
Out of curiosity I’ve swapped to a different 2.5Gbe switch (QNAP QSW-1105) and turned off link...
I have an Asustor NAS with 2 x 2.5Gbe network ports. In it are 4 fast hard drives setup in RAID10. On my desktop I have a dual Intel 2.5Gbe network card. Connecting the two is a Tenda TEM2010F 2.5Gbe switch.
On the Asustor I've set up SMB multichannel and link aggregation and on the Tenda I've...
It’s definitely the right one. If I turn it on or off for local drives it works but not for the mapped NAS drive. Regardless of what setting I use I still get the prompt.
When I delete a file from my Asustor NAS I get prompted with the "are you sure you want to permanently delete this file" dialogue box. I'd rather it didn't appear but I can't remember how to disable it. Everything I google seems to refer to local hard drives rather than a NAS
Any ideas?
I've been driving for over 30 years and for 24 of them I had my own car and own NCD. 6 years ago my partner suffered a brain injury and as a result she received a motability vehicle so I sold my Cooper S as it wasn't suitable anymore.
Anyway, 6 years later I fancy getting myself a fun summer...
I’ve just sold my GSXR 1000 and I’ve narrowed down my choices to either a Gen 3 S1000rr or a Fireblade. Both would be around 2017-2018.
Has anyone got experience of both?
I have a 2015 Street Triple RX with 800 miles on it as for various reasons it’s been in storage for the last 6 years. I’ve just had it serviced and it’s getting MOT’d on Tuesday.
The tyres are the originals and are pretty much brand new. I know that it’s recommended to change tyres based on age...
If I knock it down am I allowed to lower the roof? At the moment it’s at a 45 degree angle looks ridiculous for a 4m outhouse. I’d like to reduce it to a more normal angle but that would probably be around 3m high (and thus higher than the current rules permit)
I have a brick outhouse at the bottom of my garden which is in really poor shape and needs knocking down and rebuilding. It it approx 3m wide x 4m long and 4m high.
On https://www.planningportal.co.uk/info/200130/common_projects/43/outbuildings it states the following
Outbuildings and garages...
I thought of chasing the wall a bit but I don’t really want to damage the wall if I can help it in case I remove the lights at a later stage. I was hoping to find some nice lights that had access from the side.
@norm. it’s just a normal dividing wall between my house and next door.
I'm looking to add some external lights to the wall between my garden and my neighbours. Obviously I can't drill through from the rear so I'll need to run some conduit along the wall for the wiring however I'm struggling to find any nice looking outdoor lights that accept cable from the side or...
I bought the IdeaPad 5i 14 last month with the 90W USB C charger. I would like to get a spare charger but would prefer a physically smaller one if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Can I also jump in here and ask a question?
If I’ve paid off my mortgage and choose to buy another property to rent out (purchase outright). Let’s say it rents out for £600 a month. Would tax be £2880 a year based on being a higher rate taxpayer? Am I correct in understanding that any rental...
I live in a Victorian terrace with a concrete back yard (which slopes in all directions). I'd like to fit some decking to cover some of the concrete ugliness. I'd like to fit composite decking rather than wood so which brands offer best quality/value?
Also, does anyone have any good tips for...
