Been a while since I've ran R23 and I used to get scores around 31k really trying for 32k back when the 5950x was new before all the performance killing security updates. So these scores are from a fresh cold boot this morning using my everyday overclock.
There is an update in the steam group. Looks to be a slight delay but maybe April.

Interesting. There is still a difference that is larger than the margin for error. I've made a post on 3d mark steam forum as well to see if anyone there has seen a similar issue.
I do check before starting the benchmark run, as well as waiting until the cpu temp has dropped (temp via debug display on mobo is helpful fo knowing when cpu has dropped to idling.) All my past 290 runs are high 15k right up to 17k with high oc but I'm barely able to reach 14k with the 7800 in...
No bios updates recently. All i've really done is remove old drivers (Final official legacy for the 290) DDU, re-installed latest chipset drivers in case ddu touched them ... then installed latest drivers for the 7800.
I recently picked up the 7800Xt to upgrade from a 290 and am still getting to know the different undervolt/overlock mechanism. No real issues encounters but an oddity in Timespy CPU score which is notably down compared to the 290. I cant work out why that may have happened, my cpu oc profiles...
Well, I bit the bullet and went for a Nitro 7800XT. It's finally time for me to retire the R9 290 which has served me well. Windows 11 and no driver updates is starting to cause some issues although minor are only going become more of an issue. The 290 works great as a room heater this time...
Default PBO limits are probably the same as Motherboard limits and way higher than need be. With a high edc, pbo may just overvolt for the hell of it causing temps to rise and clocks to fall. With the 5700G being a 65w part, maybe try setting pbo limits to match a 105w part, 5800x...
Nearly a decade holding onto this 290. Last time prices were sane. I'm tempted by the 7800XT, which should give a notable performance increase over current card which held its own against the 970. I think i want a pre oc version but need to get past the mental block that says not more than...
I get this phenomenon quite often and found no real solution. It's totally random when it happens but usually after some time. Opening ThisPC will result in 'Working on it...' and Not responding if I click into the window trying to encourage it to work. What does then work is going through...
I don't know. I'm going to try and persevere with this bios for now and see about tightening up ram timings for 3466. If there is a positive to be found it is that the EDC issue seems to have been resolved.
EDIT: I have 3600 working again. I cant clear cmos and jump directly to 3600 as...

I noticed a VR game 'Cactus Cowboy' whilst browsing the ps store which is surprisingly Free. I didn't last five minutes or make it through the tutorial without feeling queasy though. Non of the other games I've tried have had that effect on me in such short time.
Just received mine from dpd. Didn't get a tracking number yet and still says 'preparing to ship' on the order.
Might be a few disappointed folk on my street though as apparently a few more on the van don't have house numbers written on.
The demo has been patched as well and it now plays on my Hawaii R9 290, not that that's necessarily a good thing. It defaults to 1440p Low settings. It plays ok but looks like ass with broken hdr which seems forced on.
Its a thing of beauty lol. Running on 22.6.1 Legacy Drivers
Its probably ok. I think your doing great for only 1.23v . Mine cant do 4.6 all core even with 1.35v with a weak ccd1.
Using dynamicOC feature I have set each ccd to where they will pass the 10minute R23 multi test with a score of 30495 although It will land nearer to 30800 with a single...
Timespy doesn't like more than 16 threads. (Solution on amd would be to disable 1 ccd or smt to improve performance) Also running the steam version will lower scores. How much will deend on whatt steam is doing int he background.
