I've got to give Gigabyte some credit, I got this working on a Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 7 and 8700k this morning.
It took less than 30 mins to update Nvidia driver, mobo BIOS, MSI 3090 BIOS and tweak the BIOS settings and it says it's working...
11th gen has 20 CPU lanes and most motherboard manufacturers are simply creating a PCIE 4 bus with x16 slot and one 4 lane m.2.
There's something I'm doing that might suit your needs with the Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Pro AX. This board has the same setup as above, but the x16 slot can run at x8 and...
Early results on userbenchmark and passmark suggest about 15-20% uplift on previous generation. But these should be taken with a hefty pinch of salt as the sample sizes are currently very low.
I have a similar setup and avoid such problems by using two HDMI cables.
One from 3090 to TV and a second from 3090 to Amp. Just avoid putting a HDMI from AMP to to TV or things can get very confusing.
Lots of factors to this, but I'm not sure what you're expecting. Any processed audio format (most Dolby) played through an amp is never going sound like a good FLAC file playing through a USB DAC to some good speakers/headphones. It's all down to the quality of the audio paths and any processing...
For that money, my goto would be the Audeze Mobius.
They are combined dac headphones, good 3d surround and they're entry level planar magnetics, which sound awesome whatever you throw at them.
I got the Corsair block for my 3090 before Xmas, so they are shipping. I can't say where, but some sites give stock notification emails.
EDIT: There's a single Corsair 3080/3090 block on overclockers right now.....
For reference for you, my 3090 Ventus runs 99% utilisation and caps at 80C (22C ambient), with the fans running at 70%-80%.
So yes, your airflow needs looking at.
Might be worth checking the exhaust vent on the card too. Some multi slot cards have exhaust ports partially blocked by slot dividers.
I saw a post the other day where the weight of the card was so heavy, it was pulling away from the contacts inside the PCIE slot.
Try laying the case on it's side and see if it works. If it does, then install the support bracket.
As most have said above, with one exception:
A good quality cable will send the signal further without distortion compared to a basic cable.
I've had problems with cheapo HDMI and USB cables over long lengths that buying a mid range cable fixed completely.
Just get some of those sound insulating rubber pads you put under high end speakers and jack it up a bit. They come in all shapes and sizes and will be one of the cheapest options.
You could also get the metal spike version of the speaker insulaters, which go higher, but I doubt you want that...
I use a Q90R for streaming movies and PC gaming and it is still one of the better screens out there.
It can do 4k 120hz, but it drops the colour to 420, so it looks good, but doesn't look great if you know what you're looking for. If you leave it at 4k 60hz, you will get HDR and RGB colour...
Win10 monthly patch quality has been terrible since they fired their QA team and started using AI instead.
There's lots of known issues on Win10 2004 with Conexant audio devices, it wouldn't be a stretch for them to break something else.
Time to do a clean uninstall of everything and start again!
