    Call of Duty: Black Ops

Yeah this sounds good, I've been playing for a while now joining random games but have recently noticed an increase in playing against organised oppositioin (usually results in getting owned). As only a couple of mates have blackops I wouldn't mind a few more peeps to play as a team. r0undb0y...

Yes this.. Has anyone actually installed this security software? I find myself reluctant as I have never heard of it before... If the worst was to happen and your account is hacked, could/would they claim that as you never installed the software as they recommended then its your fault the...

*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

This is my experience too. late night the games go downhill with only a couple of people trying to cap flags and a lot more base camping etc. At first i thought it was a couple of bum games but it seems too much of a trend now

Yeah really enjoying this game at the moment especially when I actually get in a squad that co-operates... If anyone has room for an extra squad player that would be cool as only one of my mates has this game so far. cheers! Xbox tag same as my forum nick.

    1MHz

That is a 14.3 Mhz crystal, yes the casing protects it.

    1MHz

I should say the imaginary "line" would be 144 million kilometers long. Of course it could be any length as really all your measuring is 1cm per timebase, which is adjustable, thats the length it would be for 1 cycle per centimetre.

    1MHz

Well an oscilloscope has an adjustable timebase. It will capture a signal display it over a time you specify. For example if your measuring a 1Mhz signal and you set the timebase to 1us (microsecond) it will show you 1 cycle per cm of display, there are usually 10cm on an average oscilloscope...

Do you get on with your touch screen phone?

The Samsung tocco I got last year has given me a poor experience. Even with the haptic feedback I find it slow to text and always seem to accidently brush a key by accident. Maybe its just the way I text but I'm definately going for a key based phone on my upgrade soon, got my eye on the E72.

    Electrical whine from Radeon GPU

My 4850 does this when its working hard. As the above poster states its from a coil on the board. Easiest way to tell is listening to the pitch. it will change as the workload changes e.g. Desktop to game

University owning your work and IPR

Then when you get a job. anything you develop there will most likely be the companys IP. Even if you start your own company and invent somthing succesfull if someone you worked for (company or UNI) believes you based it on stuff you did with them they may try for a slice of the pie,

Well while rumaging in my box of "old bits" I found a 160Gb IDE drive, thought I might aswell stick it in my PC. The problem is I just can't enable DMA, its working on PIO mode 4. The tick box is present under devices/advanced to enable DMA mode but no matter how many times I tick it just...
