Had both, but i think if the money isnt an issue for you the oasis is way nicer. Much prefer mine to the normal paperwhite love the tint you can add to the screen, and the buttons
I followed a mod3 today and i presume regen brakes on full as it really slowed quickly but no brake lights. If that is the case, i think having brake lights linked in with high regen would be useful to alert following cars.
have a look at the 58x great price for the quality your getting, I had 598's before and these are a defiant step up. only downside is the headband is a little tight to start

as already mentioned os maps is great for this and available on smartphones. its way better for walking and navigation and available as a free trial version. google maps doesn't convert as you asked. you could sent people a link with directions in g-maps mind you
