The old Mondeo ST did it in about 8.6s - as it used the 2.2l Duratorq TDCi engine. The Mk3 Mondeo ST220, especially from '05 onwards (the mid facelift) made quite a bit more power than 223bhp and if I remember right Autocar tested theirs at bang on 6.5s to 60, Evo had theirs at 6.6s I think...
