My main concern is price. I have been holding off a 80GTX as I knew the Ti was going to happen. If its under £700 then I will happily get one if not then a GTX plus new monitor will be purchased. My old faithful 780GTX manages with most things but will die at anything over 1080p.

Got it running, turns out her display drivers have not been updated since the dark ages.

Tried it with my PSU (OCZ 1250W) and the same thing happens, no posting and the GPU fans shut off after a few seconds.

Yeah it is chucking out a fair amount of heat. Postage dosnt bother me too much as it'll still be cheaper than spending £200 odd on a new one... Of course that's if they will honour it.

Thanks will have a look, It hasn't done it for a few days but the fan seems to spin up to 100% every 10 seconds or so. I have made sure the case is dust free and the office is normal room temp.
