With all the issues going on with ASUS regarding support and ****** practices and my own experiences around the B550-i 40 series issues, nope. It has a good spec and definitely see its attractiveness but not dealing with ASUS. Same reason I wouldn't touch GPD, heard nothing but bad news...

Must be just Northern Ireland then getting hit with the expedited ……. It wouldn’t let me select the option, told me only expedited and no standard. Option is listed but can’t be used once you progress. That was what sealed its fate as a no go.

Those cablemod power adapters (right angle type) are up for pre order. If buying from EU store, only expedited postage available for UK, adds 30 quid to the price (39 quid). Total price of 70 quid, nope!

What motherboard? I was using an ASUS ROG b550i with my 4090, changed cables, settings, PSU, fresh windows install etc. Found people having similar issues on the rog forums, was the board……. changed board (and processor / brand) and had zero issues.

Zotac 4090 Trinity OC …… no whine to report. Fans could be better but that is something I can fix down the line (water cooling, replacement fans) but coil whine in my experience ain’t going anywhere. The GPU’s run at such high frequencies these days it’s rare to not get coil whine.

What problems did you see reported?

No coil whine on the Zotac, fans are annoying ..... seems later produced cards are better regarding the fan.

Well new finding on my previous post about my Zotac 4090, seems when it hits a certain fan speed it also causes the PC to reboot.

Yeah, was purchased on launch day via OcUK.

Corsair RM1000x PSU, all separate power connections from the PSU (4 in total).

Anyone any ideas on a PC rebooting when starting games? Have a 4090 Trinity OC and have replaced the PSU (originally had an 850w, bumped it to 1000w), reinstalled windows, updated mobs bios, installed latest drivers, reseated everything in the PC. Tried a different GPU, no issue. At my wits end.

The fact they still don’t have 4K HDR like my LG OLED app does is grim. World Cup games and some shows are in UHD HDR but not on the atv.

Oh come on, we had plenty of people who didn’t buy them (had no intention, berating people who did) who were gleeful at the chance Nvidia had made designed this connector (first lie) that was burning down PC’s etc. The amount of hyperbole was off the charts, now they have all shrunk away.

So the percentages of melting cables was less than 1% and it is likely a 99% user error caused issue. So much drama.
