Just remembered that my soundcard came with an LED strip.
Need to tidy up the 4-pin power lead there. I should have an older molex extension lead in my old case...
These have almost certainly been suggested already, but I'm not checking through 55 pages to make sure...

I'm going to set my (new) PC with a dual boot, but what's the best way to set this up? Install Win10 first or install Win11 first? Or does it not matter one jot?
I've currently got a dual boot of Win7 and Win10, Win7 being on the first partition.
Hang on, the 'Quick Launch' menu has just appeared on my Win11 VM?
I've got the latest version of Open Shell installed, and when I did the usual right-click "toolbar - new toolbar...." I went through the usual steps to get to 'Quick Launch' as I've done...
"You will own nothing and you will be happy...."
Kids growing up today will own nothing in their own future. They wil not have a game collection, a music collection, a film collection, a book collection. Nothing.
"You want to have any of this? Then rent it from us...."
Yet another nightmare...
I've always found AOMEI Backupper to be better than Macrium Reflect, but YMMV. In any case, another free alternative will come along in due course.
WinRAR?? Who's still using that? 7zip is where it's at.

I've been dual-booting for nearly 20 years now and I've always used partitions to do it. Partition the boot drive and save a world of hassle.
My current ongoing big upgrade will mean the boot drive will be a WD 1TB NVMe so I'm going to partition it in two. Initially I was going to have 2 off...
When you say "on the PSU shroud" I'm thinking you mean the area in red?? The manual says it has to go in the lower postion than that.
I can certainly put a 140mm fan more directly underneath the GPU, as shown, which is what you were suggesting. I'll have a clearer idea when I start to put...
I don't think fans will fit on that section. At least, the manual makes no mention of placing fans there. And I'll be using the bottom PCI-e slot for my soundcard so a fan there might not fit.
Yes. The case includes 3-off Fractal Dynamic X2 GP-14 (1000 RPM) fans, and I bought a 4th one.
I forgot about the fact the GPU exhausts out the rear of the case. This is getting more confusing by the minute!!
Thanks mickyflinn.
I have zero interest in looks when it comes to this sort of thing. I just want the best performance I can get.
Also, I'm actually looking at 4 x 140mm fans at the front, 3 on the front & 1 on the bottom.
Sorry to bump this old thread but looking for a bit of advice. I'm considering the Fractal Define 7XL case but I don't find the manual that clear.
I'm thinking of a 360mm AIO cooler but I also want to use the 5.25" for a DVD drive. What is the manual referring to in the image below? It is...
Apologies if I was a bit short with anyone. No offence intended, it's just I felt like I was under a bit of an attack over my old case, something that has served me well and that I wasn't expecting to consider replacing. :( All opinions all are welcome.
I've been considering new cases and...
