How many fillings do you have? [Poll]

None here, either. Had two baby teeth removed a fortnight before my 16th birthday as there were no adult teeth under them and they were sinking and have only been to the dentist once, since then (to remove some very stubborn plaque). Generally don't have issues with my teeth and have a fairly...

Thanks for the heads up on this. Took the family for a stomp around (squelch around at some points ) Wimpole, yesterday :)

    Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

Opted for a 44mm Galaxy Watch 6, in the end. Specs and reviews looked good and the price (after discount offer and trade in) was very nice. Pretty impressed with it so far. A few features (blood pressure, ECG and Samsung Wallet) don't work with my Pixel 7, but the screen, experience and...

First bill on tracker, and with two thirds of the month on the new tariff my usual use cost about 25% less! That's a definite positive :)

How many Raspberry Pis do you have and what are they used for?

I set up a retroPi on my Zero W and found it absolutely hilarious how my youngest daughter live commentates her battles in Street Fighter 2

    Mens Shower Gel

Bar of soap here, as well. Switched over about 6 months ago for the eco-friendly-ness of it but have found it gives a better clean, and is quicker (so even more eco-friendly!). Currently have the Wild cotton and sea salt. Likewise, shampoo bar which is really good! Have a Gruum coconut one, at...

    Maths question

Erm... 11,400/60*100-11,400. Gives the 7,600 answer by assuming that 11,400 is 60% of the whole and then calculating the 100% figure and subtracting the original 60% figure. Probably an easier way to do it, too :D

To be fair, this December has been really mild as well so spend on gas has been cheaper anyway (for me: £115/1000kWh Dec 22 vs £63/810kWh Dec 23), but paying 2-3p less per kWh definitely something that will have even more of an impact!

To be fair, it took me almost two years of reading this thread and doing lots of bad spreadsheets to actually summon up the courage to make the switch  That tracker you linked me to definitely made a big difference in the final decision to switch :)

Thanks for the link! Looks like we could well save £30-40 a month by switching, so have clicked the button (and saved the shiny link) :)
