sounds like a cheap psu youve got there, and it also looks like its got half the amount of amperage on the 12v+ rail. that wont be enough to feed a x1900xtx mate, youre throttling it with lack of power im afraid. you NEED a new psu to improve performance

is it a decent brand of 480w? dont worry about fear, it tells me ive got a mdeium rig too with the x1900,fx55 2gb of ram etc, the games just a system clown.

yup, with B grade your pretty much only guaranteed the card itself, anything else is a bonus mate.

fear is a system hog so doesnt scale well on lesser hardware, the game is badly put together imo. i have to be honest here now, with my tft at 60hz i notice no tearing like i did on my old crt monitor, does it even aplly to tft's? im unsure...

tft's dont suffer from lower refresh rates, i much prefer the 60hz of my tft than 85hz on my old crt :D

bf2 lets you use WS resolutions, you just have to do it manually. its not perfect but better than nothing. and if youve been playing at 1280x1024 and have been happy, you wont see any performance loss. 1280x1024=1310720 1440x900=1296000 so it will be effectively driving less pixels ;)

i have to agree, it soon becomes a bit boring with all those corridors. condemned is another great FPS and its built on the FEAR engine, just runs better and the game is good too, i didnt get bored with this one.

condemned tbh, its the FEAR game engine but its had a makeover and now runs like silk on high spec hardware, the games not bad either actually :p

so guildwars is similar to WoW then right? with added content along the way and patches/updates etc. i wasnt trying to say that WoW didnt get them, i know they do, just pointing out that other games can do it without fee's. as the other list of games was thrown out

ok, so what about guildwars? no monthly fee, loads of people all on servers with no sole player footing the bill, the game gets updates, the game also gets little bonuses such as the dragon festival thats currently being used. so if that is what youre getting for just the price of the...

thought id do a couple of DOD:S since the updates

i think you can get little downloads that let you fiddle with the layout of the screen icons. im sure a wow player would be able to confirm though
