I have an Intel Core i7 and purposely turn off Intel Speedstep so the CPU runs at max speed all the time, leave my computer on 24/7 and run orthos whenever the computer is idle. Why? Because I can.

Well.. They do that for mail too.. And people don't seem to have an issue with sending whatever in the mail. I'd think it'd be easier to pack a computer safely for a flight than for sending it in the mail, given a hard-case suitcase and plenty of clothes that I need to take with me anyway :P

I didn't even know they xray'd checked baggage? When do they do that?

You don't say what motherboard you have.. If you are talking about the gigabyte p35 ones, then i had the same problem. However, if you had followed the instructions, you were supposed to remove the fan first, install the heatsink, and then re-seat the fan. Doing that, i had no problem...

Actually i don't think so, because i have the motherboard set to auto REGULATE the voltage, not to set it to factory defaults.. it works somewhat like.. the more you overclock, the mode voltage your components get.. but yes, i will try to manually specify it when i get home from work today...
