Nice one Nick. I ended up getting a Node 804 myself for reasons you mention coupled with a greater number of cooling options.... Opti Drive, not to mention the SSD/HDD mounts. Got a Node 304 on the way courtesy of Fractal ;)
Node 804 has big watercooling potential too....
Look at page 18 of the case manual here:http://www.fractal-design.com/media/1b122b3b-7b01-4530-a451-0c8a3c6daade
Here are some pics of mine:
And from a slightly different angle:
Thanks Jay..... What water cooled kit are you running? Wondering if a custom loop is worth bothering with given the performance available via a AIO cooler. If you could share the spec of your loop, rads, res, pump etc it would be appreciated. Any challenges building into the S2.0?
Thanks mate.
Jay - I am also planning to ditch a mini P180 and move to Parvum S2.0...
How dusty does the case get?
Had planned on an Air 240 before seeing the Parvum. Contemplating a 970 GTX SLi rig.... u have dual 240 rads?
Thanks all. Hmmm decisions. Any issues with the case other than the gfx cooler height one? I really like the look of the case but want to make sure there aren't any other howlers.
what version evga card is that mate? did you add the red lighting or does the card feature red leds? Also, is the cooler the same height as the pcb? (thinking about having this in a corsair air 240.
Thanks Dave.
Hmm.... decisions.... that could well be a deal breaker. Do any 970s with non-reference coolers fit? Thinking specifically about the STRIX...
Just installed a 5870 into the system. Does anyone know what optical drives can be fitted in the upper drive bay without the back of the drive fouling the large fan in the roof of the case?
Voltar - need a budget and an application for the amp really...
1 - Will you be gigging it?
2 - Are you after a practice only amp?
3 - If gigging, are you able/willing to cart around a head/cab
4 - Would a combo be preferable?
5 - Do you want to be able to record direct from amp to you PC/MAC?
Gotta be worth a shot mate - been eyeing up a trip to 'the street' myself lately.... may be down there myself on Friday, work permitting.
Good luck ;-)
They are pretty good, budget considered. To get a set of active EMGs in an axe priced at £380 is is pretty impressive. You'll not be able to get hold of a full on ESP for that kind of money, not even via the second-hand market (unless the axe is a dog).
