I cant justify buying a RX7900XTX for current prices of £1200. But... the RX7900XT is almost reachable for me for less than £900. Looking across reviews Im seeing much better 4K gaming FPS increses vs a 4070Ti. Are there any downsides of a 7900XT vs say a 4070Ti?
I dont think I have had an AMD...
Thanks for your views - as I thought, I dont think the gains are worth it for an upgrade that would cost me £400. There are a few games that dip below 60fps on the 4K OLED, but with VRR they are still perfectly playable.
Is there anyone who thinks otherwise - upgrading from 3080Ti to a 4070Ti...
Big dilemma for me here... I have a 3080Ti happily running on my 4K OLED TV - yes I could do with better FPS on a few games and upgrading is always tempting - but if I sold my 3080Ti for say £460 and spend £860 for a 4070Ti, Im struggling to justify spending £400 extra to gain 15% increase in...
About 4 weeks ago, I had upgraded to Windows 11 as soon as it became available for my custom PC - I have to say that initially I was worried about things going wrong BUT its running fantastically! Absolutely painless process, and some things (like the unreliable multi-screen switching from...
Today bought a Nintendo Switch for £230 from a major grocery store (A) and a Ring Fit for £40 and Super Mario Odyssey for £35 from another major grocery store (T) - super chuffed for my *ahem* 8yr old boy! Can’t wait for Xmas day.
Do I need to open / turn on to create Nintendo game store...
I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and use it for photos/videos a lot. Overall I’m happy with it however I have a couple of niggly gripes:-
Ultra wide is quite dark/grainy for my liking. Bought an ultra wide lens+case to use on the wide camera and works brill but it’s a faff carrying/setting up the...
Once again thanks for all the great advice :)
I was tempted to move to an i7 7700k but the general concensus is that for the cost there isnt a great improvement when it come to gaming. I think that there will be benefits in video editing and encoding speeds but the increase just isnt worth it...
Wow great responses from all of you! Some great points here!
So... What do i do? Yes getting a 7700k would give me a small bump in performance in games and a bigger one in video editing/encoding - this could be worthwile at the right price. But stretching to a Coffee lake system even if it...
Hello
Since my son was born in 2013cmy pc had hardly seen any upgrade. Infact i had hardly used it... until a few weeks ago when I purchased a GTX 1070, and a couplp of games - GTAV, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Forza Horizon 3! Im back in the game folks woo hoo!
I am predominantly gaming...
I'm having the exact same issues. Nothing bad, but getting these glitches and flickering every now and again. Also, do you occasionally have the phone 'hang' with a 'loading' window appearing? It has always recovered within a few seconds.
Looking at someother forums it seems commonplace. I...
My One X is on its way - this lunchtime delivery! Wooooh!!!
I know its a cashback deal - and if it pays out together with Quidco, it works out £26pm on a 24month contract with O2 on their unlimited On & On tariff!

Superhub is a complete waste of time. I have a 2bed house made of paper mache, and still I have issues with dropouts & lack of internet speed. Same with my sister - bigger more solid house, but still having issues even at 5metres away.
Put the Superhub into modem mode, and get yourself a...
Same situation as you - superhub is utter garbage and no matter what settings are used there are always issues with it, even when I had the laptop no more than 2 feet away from it!
Bought myself an Asus RT-N56U last week (on special deal) and what a transformation! Easy to setup, and now I...
After going through many USB wifi sticks (inc wdna3100 & wna3100) I absolutely rate the dual band (2.4 & 5ghz) Cisco Linksys WUSB600N v2. I think it has been superceeded by the AE1000 which looks similar.
Not sure how good the BT Homehub is, but after getting fed up with the Virgin Superhub...
Im a regular user of Premiere CS5.5.
Your processor is fine (but an i7 would be even better = overclockyour i5!!), but the biggest boost would be to get over 12gb RAM (especially when working with HD material) and most importantly, GET YOURSELF A MODERN NVIDIA CARD WITH AT LEAST 1gb RAM :)...
