22nd November is still a possibility, depending on how anal the distributors or retailers are about releasing a copy of Assassin's Creed...
XFX offer a double lifetime warranty but only in the US and Canada. In the UK, and EU they offer no real warranty support at all. That is why retailers who sell XFX products handle XFX warranties. You'll find that retailers will offer two years as this is the minimum requirement for technical...
I would recommend an X58 chipset based system for the ability to add six-core CPU's in the future. In addition the tri-channel memory capability, will offer improved performance. Although I wouldn't really recommend going for the i7 950 seeing as it currently costs nearly twice as much as the i7...
After a little more looking into it I see that nanopoint were contracted to deal with Tagan's support for the UK. I'm filling in an RMA request form now and have my original receipt dated 14/04/2009 which I'll scan and email/post to Nanopoint if they request it.
I have a Tagan TG900-U95 PSU that seems to randomly make horrible grinding noises, which I assume could be a capcitor, or bad fan bearings. It does seem to be confusing as to exactly who to contact for an RMA. I must admit I've never heard of Nanopoint and AberTek.
When it cvomes to overclocking I would say that the motherboard is one of the most important factors when it comes to chooseing components. Alongside cooling and the PSU of course. IF he motherboard isn't able to atain high bus speeds, then having really good cooling, and plenty of power won't...
I currently have two GTX275 graphics cards in the top and bottom PCI-Express slots, and an Asus Xonar D2X in the bottom PCI-Express slot. Despite this my grpahics cards are still running in full 16X SLi. I am unsure how adding another device in the bottom slot would affect Crossfire though.
You don't need to watercool the Rampage II Extreme to hit 4.0Ghz. I've managed to hit 4.4Ghz on mine without watercooling, and a TRUE Black on the CPU.
I currently have Gainward's XpertTool installed on my system as I couldn't get RivaTuner to run smoothly with the 185.85 Forceware drivers. RivaTuner is better as you are limited with how far you can raise the core, shader, and memroy clocks under XpertTool. My advise would be to use XpertTool...
You can hit 4.0Ghz on an i7 easily enough without the need for liquid cooling. I'm using a TRUE Black to cool my i7 920, which is stable at 4.0Ghz, and have managed to bench at 4.4Ghz.
Even Futuremark, the people that wrote 3DMark, don't count scores obtained with PhysX as valid. Don't enable PhysX when benching 3DMark, especially Vantage. It borks the CPU tests by running them on the CPU and GPU(s). It isn't a CPU test if anything else other than the CPU is being run on that...
Thanks for the reponces guys.
I've found out what the problem was when it came to flashing with the ROM file on the HDD. EZFlash2 can only read FAT32 formats and as I'm using Vista, which uses NTFS, it couldn't read the file.
I still can't get EZFlash2 to see my USB flash drive, which is...
Hi all,
I purchased a Rampage II Extreme a couple of days ago and have been trying to use the built in EZflash2 feature to update the BIOS to the latest one, as 0503 was shipped on the board.
Anyway, every single BIOS file I download from Asus's support site results in EZFlash2 informing...
