    Goodbye 4T5

Only just heard on FB, totally shocked :( Been out riding a couple of times with him, took me on the A444 which he loved. RIP Malc :(

    Tank bags - scratching?

I've used Quick Lock tank bags on all of my big bikes. They work great, off and on in seconds, no straps, no scratches. U can get different colours of adapter/locking ring. I have grey one on the Speedy but had a black one on the Fireblade etc. Looked fine. I have a 15L bag for work/weekend...

    .

Dunno about the Street, but my Speed is pretty much impossible to bump. Even with lots of speed and jumping down on the pegs, the back wheel just locks up. I've bump started other bikes, but have never been able to bump the Speed. Maybe I'm just not fat enough :D Have jumped it a couple of...

    Bandit-type bike for long legs?

Only one toe at a time ;) I can just about get 2 toes down with a pillion on :p

    Bandit-type bike for long legs?

I have a 2006 Speed Triple and 27" legs and find I have to stretch them out after an hour or so in the saddle. Dunno how you taller guys (and gals) manage on sports bikes :)

    Biking Do's & Don'ts

I tend to stick the leg out if I'm riding spiritedly and can't take my focus off the road to nod :p

HEADS UP!! Warm Face Neck Mask

Never ended up receiving mine either, so also got my money back :)

Riding with pillion for first time.

I recently started carrying the gf pillion on my Speed Triple. I can only get one foot down at a time anyway, so it's... interesting :p Really helps if they have good balance. Easier to keep the bike upright, rather than them hanging off like a sack of spuds :) Main thing I noticed was...

HEADS UP!! Warm Face Neck Mask

Winter Tyre Choice - Would You Change?

I have Angel GT's on my Speedy :) Also stuck them on my Fireblade last year, -4C being the lowest I rode it in :D

    Leather alterations?.

I've used Marshalls in Derby before, 01332 771716. Fitted a more robust connecting zip to my leathers. Great job and not expensive :)

What did you do to your bike today?

Free bit of software called "Tyre" is pretty good for plotting routes and exporting them to the Tom Tom :)

    Visor treatment products

Rain-X helps the water bead off, not sure it would help much with the salty crap being thrown up at the moment though. I recall some talk of Rain-X potentially causing visors to become brittle, but I don't personally know either way. I normally just carry one of those small Muc Off spray...

What did you do to your bike today?

Well I'm afraid it did on this occasion. It was NEVER overloaded. To be fair, it was the rack that failed first. The thinner of the 2 arms broke, which put the entire weight of the rack and box on one side of the sub frame :( And that was far from the first case of it happening, which is why...

What did you do to your bike today?

Just be wary of how much weight you stick in the box. I had the Alurack on my 2006 Speedy with a smaller 37L box. Never stuck more than 7kg in it but still managed to break an arm and crack the subframe :(

    Wet weather gear recommendations!

Have a Hein Gericke onesie style waterproof over-suit here. Elasticated ankle goes over my boots no problem. Quick to chuck on at the side of the road if you get caught out. It did let water in on a Scotland tour a couple of years ago, but that was at 70 *cough* mph down the M6 in a head-on...

    Heavy clutch on speed triple?

The clutch and gearbox in general I think are heavier on the Speed compared to the Street. Or more manly if you will ;)

What did you do to your bike today?

Cheers Malc :) Sounds like mine might be out of his price range though. I'd be looking for around £5k. RR7 in Repsol colours. Lovely example, well maintained with a Yoshi exhaust and a few other bits n bobs :D

Nah, it's flat :) The camera angle on the other hand... :p

What did you do to your bike today?

Took a MT-09 out for a test ride :) Great bike. Nice and light, really easy to flip around the place. Good brakes. Lots of torque. Little bit buzzy at high speed, but it is only an 850 ;) Suspension was a bit soft for me, or I just wasn't heavy enough for it, but it cornered well...
