Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

Hopefully getting fitted next Friday so we’ll see what I get. They already cancelled once as they have to install via an overhead cable and need to go over live power cables, which apparently takes multiple teams of people to do safely.

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

Ok because I am dumb and never understand network stuff; would I need a modem on top of this?

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

Th They look great; are they new? Last time I looked Ubiquiti didn’t really have anything similar.

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

To add to this; it does look like it was using an AP that was downstairs or the one in the garage instead of the LR which is in the upstairs hallway and really what I was hoping would cover the house; then the one downstairs for the kitchen / back garden and garage for the rest of the garden but...

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

I think this is part of it; combined with the LR being funky. I might reset it and see what that does. Feels that way; I’ll see if resetting it helps. I was using AP generically. I have the U6 Lite and U6 LR so should be good. I will try what comes with the ISP anyway to see what that’s...

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

Oooh, no I didn't check the wired again. I'll do that too. I just meant the speeds over the Ubiquiti Wi-Fi.

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

Well it's a bit weird. I unplugged all the Ubiquiti stuff and put my PC into the network switch directly wired in and got normal speeds of 70Mbps. Then I plugged the cloudkey back in and on of the AP in the garage; low and behold that gave me normal speeds too. Then I plugged in one of the APs...

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

Cool thanks; I totally blamed it on the cloudkey. Will do some investigating

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

It goes into the vodafone router, which is hooked up to a netgear network switch along with the cloudkey, 2x Wireless AP in the house and 1 in the garage; a Philips Hue Bridge and a fire alarm hub. So maybe it is the output of the vodefone router or the network switch?

Very slow internet through Ubiquiti Cloudkey Gen 2

Hi, I've been running my internet through a Vodafone router/modem, into a Cloudkey then out to Ubiquiti Wireless AP for some time now, relatively successfully. Recently I had some electrical work done and so have been using the vodafone wifi as I had that on battery back up. For several weeks...

    *** Nintendo Switch ***

Ok that’s great thanks. I think he does have that but I don’t think it’s in he plays anymore. On the Switch, you can play games with different accounts so can I just have the game on both devices and let them play on their own accounts or will I have to buy games again for my youngest son to play?

    *** Nintendo Switch ***

How easy is it to move games / saves to a new Switch? My son has an original Switch and now my youngest son wants one too, so I’m thinking of upgrading my eldest to a new OLED one and donating his existing Switch to my youngest. Is that straightforward? I have a the parent Nintendo account and...

    Steering wheel dilemma

Either the Fanatec Bundle or Moza bundle would be your best bet in my opinion. Don't forget that with the Fanatec kit, you won't pay VAT on your purchase so the purchase price is lower than intially displayed on their website. You'll then add 20% VAT and around £10-15 service charge to DHL. It's...

    The **Now Eating** Thread

Not sure to be honest; a quick google shows a few restaurants but not many so depends where you are. I’d not heard of them before

    The **Now Eating** Thread

I just went with the Ooni suggestion of cheddar and mozzarella mix; seemed to work well. The cooking temperature is lower than that, probably high 200’s in the pizza oven. I bought the Ooni premix and that recommends 200c for 20-25 mins so maybe it can be replicated without a pizza oven?

 It’s a style of pizza; cooked in a deep pan and it has a thick, light base and crispy cheese round the edges where it makes contact with the pan. I assume it’s from Detroit originally! But I know it because Ooni marketed it to me :)

Sim racers - what are you running?

I too have only had decent service from Fanatec. My first order took a little while, but it was around Black Friday so I was expecting a lot worse. I think it took over a week to ship, but still not so bad. My second order arrived pretty quickly. Only real problem I’ve found is that they...

    BBQ Grill problem

Broil King have confirmed it’s faulty and are sending a replacement burner. Frustrating for it to happen but at least the customer service is good.
