****The Sony RX100 Series Owners and Tips Thread****

Very nice - I love my 4. There is the tech junkie in me that always wants the best and looking at upgrading, but can't justify it, also its a lot of cash just to upgrade. Have fun.

Can anyone tell me how to change the focus points on these cameras? It's set to the middle point, but I really want to be able to move it.

    Selling gear and downsizing?

Similar sort of thing. I have a 5DMKIII and a few L lenses, and I found walking round with that all day extremely tiring. So I picked up a little Sony RX100 IV in February while in New York, and I havent gone back to my DLSR since. It fits in my pocket, takes great images, enough to print A1...

    Choosing a DSLR to Travel

The RX100 is an excellent travelling camera, very small and compact. I love mine. The Sony A6000 offers more of a "system" choice of mirrorless. Still smaller than the Canon 70D, smaller, lighter lenses, and more versatile (oppinion based) than the RX100. If money was no object and you want a...

    Choosing a DSLR to Travel

But he does say that a Canon 70D is juts within his budget. that is around the £700 mark. A Sony A7MK2 or A7Rmk2 are at least double that. I agree with you, they are awesome cameras, and if I had the cash now and wanted high end equipment, this is what I would go with. But we dont all have the...

    Choosing a DSLR to Travel

There is no way he can afford that if he is looking at a Canon 70D or 760D. You are looking £2-3K for that set up.

    Choosing a DSLR to Travel

I have a Canon 5D MKII as my main camera, but was leaving it at home due to size and weight. I recently picked up a RX100M4 in New York, and for then on have left my Canon at home. Takes amazing photos and fits in a pocket (OK, the camera menu takes a little to get used to) love it.

    The "New Gear/Willy Waving" thread

I have been in the market for a small travel camera. I love my 5D MKIII to death, but it is on the large size and damn heavey carrying around for a day. So I picked this up recently, and love it. I did get it for a bargin price, and brand new.

****The Sony RX100 Series Owners and Tips Thread****

Just picked up a RX100m4, love it so far. Compared to my 5DMKIII its a breeze to carry all day long. So far the images are of a comparable quality, at least to me, and of what I have taken so far. Need some reccomendations on cases though, what is best? Also, is there a way to turn off the...

Best lens to get and learn with. Had mine for over 10years. Loved it. Good luck :)

Pound for pound best point and shoot.

How do you find it? I have a 5D MKIII as my main camera, but lugging that thing around all the time it gets aweful heavy. So have been looking out for a small camera with high quality pictures, around the 20MP mark (I print large) that I can take anywhere with me and not loose the quality of my...
