Windows 11 Home - Lots of Red Circles in the Reliability Monitor?

Thank you, No, there hasn't been anymore BSOD's and no app crashes after I have opened them, just does it in the background sometimes. There have a couple of "windows stopped working" red circles, but again I didn't notice it whilst using windows, usually happens during an update I think I...

Windows 11 Home - Lots of Red Circles in the Reliability Monitor?

Hi, Please can you help, I am not even sure how to describe this, the problem is random and I am at my wits end trying to see what is wrong :( I built a new PC Christmas 2023 with Windows 11 home, all fine until about a month ago; Over a week I kept getting blue screen of deaths whilst windows...

    CPU voltage help please

Hi, Please can you help me? I built my pc over the weekend but I'm worried about the CPU voltages after reading about CPU's burning out a while back; On the very first boot into the bios, the CPU core voltage was showing as 1.412v. After updating to the latest bios, the voltage is still...

AIO Cooler - Swapping the fans and the MB connection?

Thank you. With a similar case and fan set up for my planned build, it sounds like it should be good

AIO Cooler - Swapping the fans and the MB connection?

Thank you both. From your advice I think I will go for top AIO as exhaust, 3 side as intake and possibly 3 bottom as intake. As for the dust, I clean my current pc a few times a year, so I don't mind a bit of dusting in the new case from the planned fan set up!

AIO Cooler - Swapping the fans and the MB connection?

I have purchased the 360 AIO plus an additional 3 fans (all fans 120mm), which will be fitted in my Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic Razer case. I am planning on mounting the AIO on the top and the 3 fans on the side (vertical). I am sure this question has been asked before, but i am unsure which is the...

New build to replace 13 year old i7980x - Help please

That's a really good explanation and i think i understand. So, AM5 ram base speed is 4800, if you buy 5200 or 5600 as i have seen for my build. Effectively it can safely be oveclocked up to 5200 or 5600 but will run at 4800 minimum if i don't change anything. Then the motherboard and CPU both...

New build to replace 13 year old i7980x - Help please

Thank you, It's a strange feeling not wanting to let go of an old PC, i suppose its because you are used to it and still think its quick until you get something new. I think i went through a same feeling just before i built this pc, I was using a Packard Bell shop bought pc. I thought that was...

New build to replace 13 year old i7980x - Help please

You are right, it would be crazy to spend the same amount on AM4 rather than a AM5. Especially as this will be new build rather than upgrade. Both seemed equally good over my i7 though

New build to replace 13 year old i7980x - Help please

Ok, that sounds encouraging. I became a bit despondent over the weekend with my planned AM5 build, i have seen so much negativity about it and i was thinking is it really worth the hassle? But i suppose there have been many good experiences with it as well? I think generally people post to...

New build to replace 13 year old i7980x - Help please

Hi Craig_d1, Thank you for your post, i really appreciate the reply and help (and everyone). I have been thinking about not bothering to upgrade over the weekend, but you have definitely put my mind at rest. Your experience with your build addresses the concerns i had, sounds like you had a...

New build to replace 13 year old i7980x - Help please

That's ok, it has been a really good PC and CPU, never really had any major problems with it, nothing has been removed or upgraded - all as per the day i built it. I have been wondering over the weekend if its really worth upgrading; for general file management, web browsing it is pretty quick...

New build to replace 13 year old i7980x - Help please

Thank you for the links to the videos. I think for me, stability is the most important, i just want to turn the PC on and use it without any hassle - I don't have the technical knowledge to fix something easily even with online help. I definitely wont overclock and don't think i will tinker...
