I run 8 cameras with blue iris on a i7 6700, as well as a plex server. Make sure you look for a chip that supports quick sync as both blue iris can leverage this for hw acceleration and plex for hw transcoding. Makes a huge difference to cpu usage. Forgot to add blue iris is cracking software...

Honestly, I'm not sure how much difference a dedicated gpu makes with Plex.. Intel quick sync is required and makes a huge difference. I run a i7 6700 that can comfortably handle 4 hw transcodes, in addition to running blueiris with 7 cameras, which conveniently also utilises quick sync.

I've done a couple of orders for Hikvision IP cameras. Much cheaper and never a problem. One got caught for customs charges but was still much cheaper than buying in the UK. Just don't upgrade the FW or you lose the English language.

Why so? It does not suck warm air up it blows fresh/filtered air down.

Just installed a nuaire drimaster in the loft, so far so good, we live in an old cottage with damp/ condensation issues. This morning when I woke up there were no drops on any of the windows and the air feels fresher throughout the whole house.
