Which brand CPUs does your company/employer work with?

Predominantly Intel in my place - Lenovo servers and Dell laptops. In my lab, we have a mix of Intel based HP & Cisco servers / appliances, a couple of nice Dell EPYC servers (Gen 1 & Gen 2) + a lab mule I'm building using a R9 5950X and Asus WS Pro X570 board.

    OcUK RX6900XT review thread

Its about where I expected it to be sans a waterblock and a bit of tweaking. Strong in 1080 & 1440 and raster-wise holding up in 4K. I gave up playing the lottery launch day excitement and settled for a 6800 last week, really wanted an XT but I can hold off till March / April when the supply...

So what are we expecting from the 6900xt?

Raster wise I think it may have the 3090 in some titles at stock and pull away once clocked up. The 6800s have a solid lock of 2.8Ghz but the 6900 can go to 3Ghz, can it reach those giddy heights under water? Heavily RTX optimised titles will allow both 3080 and 3090 to show their mettle but...

    Aqua Computer Aquaero Owners thread

You can also get an aquabus splitter that fits onto the Aquaero, gives 3 ports. I used it to link in my D5 Next and a Quadro. It's pretty easy to start spending silly money kitting out an Aquaero system but it all just works. A Quadro here, a splitty there, maybe a flow meter then something RGB...

AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Lots of learnings from yesterday and the Ryzen launch. Keep an eye on OCUK forums for last minute change to launch timings - I missed the 5pm to 2pm change on the Ryzen launch, cost me 40 mins and 80 places in a queue Make sure you are also watching social media - links were made available at...

8Packs AMD 6800XT overview... and abit of overclocking ;-)

Which EK block did you use? The std issue or the AMD branded / inspired one? Looking to water cool one of these cards when I can get my hands on one :) Thanks for your review and thoughts. Didn't think north of 2.5Ghz was on the cards.

AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Got an order confirmation at 14:34, an order cancellation @ 17:52 - annoyed. Juggling the idea of cancelling my 5950X order now (higher double digits queue wise).

PCIE Lanes Dilema for the 5000 series CPU

If you go Ryzen 5000 series with 3 x NVMe X4.0 and X570 then PCIe slot 1 will be X16g4 for your GPU, upper NVMe slot will be from CPU, lower from chipset. Now you've a few options, you can go Gigabyte, Asrock and they will give you 3 M.2 slots on the board (1 from CPU, remaining from chipset) or...

    EKWB RX6000 series waterblocks announced

I've a 5950X on order and my Aquacomputer Cuplex Next Vario Vision (that's its name ) will handle it no problem, its a cracking cooler. I'm on the fence as regards the GPU block, been using EK stuff for over 15 years and never had a bother with them GPU side, my Vega64 and more recently VII EK...

    *** AMD ThreadRipper ***

The Gamers TR will be the 1900X, 8 cores but near enough twice the memory bandwidth of the 1800X, content creators will want the 12 / 16 core TR. Ref the Taichi x399, it ditches the 10Gb NIC (I wonder how many on here have 10Gb network infrastructure at home or even in the office?) but I still...

Spec me a flight set up please

I have had a CH Products Hotas setup for 9 years now and still beautifully precise. Perhaps not pretty but they can take a battering, use with IL2 Original, COD, BOS, BOM and BOK. They are actually cheap if you think of the TCO.

27" 1440p monitor choice for photo editing

Wide gamut is more than nice I have found, I have both a Dell U2515H and UP2516D and the D makes the H seem like a TN panel even though they are both IPS and makes it brilliant for a bit of RAW file editing in Lightroom.
