Playing F.E.A.R for the 1st time and in glorious 3440x1440p!

Yup this. Never found FEAR scary at all, you just end up thinking "oh there's Alma again..". The gameplay was a bit boring too. I actually really liked Fear 3 though... especially the co-op Condemned though, is a classic :) What an atmosphere.. and some really fantastic unforgettable moments!

Was the Alan Wake PC release not good?

    Quantum Break PC version confirmed!

There are likely gameplay developers who would have been easily able to implement this - people not necessarily capable or responsible for working on the game engine side of things. It's not like everyone just dives in at the end of a project to lend a hand making the game run faster etc...

    Simon the Sorcerer - alternative

I don't think I'd recommend Broken Age but I've just started Deponia.. only about 49 minutes into it according to Steam but it seems fantastic so far :)

    The Evil Within

Game works fine for me on my 3 year old PC, with the exception of the splash/intro video locking up the application until it's finished. The same thing happened with Rage though so it's an engine/Bink decoder issue mixed with something on my PC it doesn't like. I get some FPS drops in areas but...

    Resident Evil 4

You say it's based on the Ps2 version AGAIN, despite being proved wrong here and on the Steam forums. Give it a rest..

    Resident Evil 4

Looking at it now, the cutscenes on the 360 version for the standard game are rendered in engine, and the separate ways cutscenes are FMVs so we're both sorta right. I don't get your point though...someone took videos from the ps2 and gcn versions and made them work on the pc so therefore the...

    Resident Evil 4

Why do you keep mentioning the PS2 version? why would they use that as a base? Capcom can't just "emulate" the PS2 that easily.. The cutscenes on the 360 version are rendered using the ingame engine, as was done in the Gamecube version, so if anything it's based on that codebase with a new...

What software for cataloguing CD collection onto Computer?

I use dbpoweramp these days. http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ EAC had some issue with my DVD drive that meant ripping a single CD took about 30-40 minutes so it was no go. dbpoweramp works great though for whatever reason. Does album art, tracklist naming and all the stuff you'd expect, plus has...

    Anyone tried Crucial M4 Firmware 070H ?

I've installed it on two drives in the last few days and had no problems so far. One of them was on the 009 firmware and was giving me awful grief until I found out about the 5000 hour bug :) I haven't done any performance benchmarks

vista basic 32bit OEM , where can I get it ?

I had luck with a retail vista ultimate iso that I needed to use to install and license a vista business OEM key. I don't quite remember offhand but there was a file in the ISO that I had to modify which allowed me to choose which version of Vista I was installing at install time. The OEM key...

    Doom 3 - BFG edition

They don't license their engines anymore, they stopped that before Rage (well, I think Zenimax had something to do with it) They never originally did want to license out their tech.. they used to demand insane amounts of money back in the day in the hopes that it would put companies off from...

    Black Mesa Source

The blast pit bit with the tentacle monster is definitely broken.. I could only get through the area reliably by running full sprint through it.
