what sort of games do you play? An ultrawide will be better for certain games. There is the Alienware 34' oled for around £600 when on offer. If you play only competitive shooters then best to not go ultrawide

the Apex is a great board for overclocking and tweaking memory. Unless your heavily into that I would suggest save the money to use for a white GPU

Yeah I though it might stick out too far. Is there enough room to lower the flow meters slightly so to not need the other fitting

which game is it thats making the fans spin up? Another piece of software you could use is Fan Control. The set up tests each fan which may help

looks good mate. Did you try coming off the side of the top flow meter. The option one down from where it is.

Glad you got it sorted mate. Overclocking ram is quite time consuming. If your wanting to overclock them you can try change the speed to say 6800 and then test for stability.
