I have kept trying and no luck today. I've now given up on getting any tech this side of xmas. Is there any lucky who uses this forum that can confirm they have managed to bag a 6900XT today?
MSI said in their livestream that they are aware of the 3080 issue and said it can be fixed with a driver update, so I guess they are going down the "free" approach of fixing their cards.
I would have to agree with that, we have just got a swathe of hints from several youtube tech shows such as Linus (from the WAN show on LTT) about waiting for actual reviews and benchmarks and also seeing what the AMD card does and Jayz2cent about not selling your 2080Ti's. Far too many subtle...
All I need confirmed from benchmarks is that Nvidia didn't nerf the 2080Ti demo against the 3080 - there's a guy on the internet showing Doom Eternal with the same framerates with a 2080Ti as the demo. I will wait and see what reviewers say.
Boys - the press release for the XBOX Series S | X has been leaked..a few months early - it's a four part series courtesy of WalkingCat on Twitter:

That's great news if true but the third photo in the original article shows them running on the rigs...unless those are confirmed to not be 3080's and photoshopped to look like them...
Oh nooo. How did they get their hands on the cards before they are even allowed to be sold?! This is my biggest worry - if this is great for mining, then we really have little choice but to jump in and buy a card at launch for the 3080 and fight against miners for available stock.
That's...
I've checked the EKWB website and this is the only card they have come up with confirmed to work with the EK waterblock right now : https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-geforce-rtx-3080-tuf-gaming-10gb-gddr6x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-44h-as.html
Other card I guess will be confirmed later...
lol. I actually have one for my case (not to carry the card though!). My PCI-E lanes need to start hitting the gym I think. They need to be ready to carry some thicc items.
possibly. I am a bit worried about playing Microsoft Flight Simulator as it is pulling over 10GB with a 2080Ti but I hope it shouldn't be so bad on the 3080. See here...
I was being as pessimistic as possible about the performance of the 3080 as possible, which is the driving factor on making a choice on whether or not to upgrade. I hope it is much more better, but as a factor of buying the card it really doesn't matter (in the context vs the 2080Ti), any more...
lol all the "30X0Ti" talk is hilarious. If you guys can stir up the discussion on the Ti's a bit more, it will help reduce the queue for the FE's :D cheers! ;). For me, the only metric that matters is that the 3080 will have a small margin lead over the 2080Ti in performance for nearly a third...
Founders edition, AIB's are just using the same reference cooler as last gen. Watercooled versions are the only real reason (and warranty) to go AIB. The nvidia card looks pretty good for cooling this year and if it's as good as the 2080's Founder Edition cooling, it will be good enough. Don't...
