A shameless thread resurrection
Who's still using the fritz? Was looking into getting one but they don't appear to have a firewall that is configurable from the GUI, as in Set a rule to block everything outgoing and then open up ports and services. Hard to tell from the manual and various...
Thanks for the further updates.
I'm going to be using my own router so would negate the WIFI traffic shaping issues. I wouldn't be using Vodafone's own DNS either, have always found ISP's DNS to be poor at the best of times.
Thanks for the info.
Zen would be nice but need to reduce bills.
I'll have a look and see what Quidco/TCB deals are around for BT/ PlusNet
Can get Virgin but they seem hit and miss and have bad experience using them at previous properties.
I'm thinking of switching provider and have seen the very keen pricing from Vodafone!
Have been with Plusnet in the past who were good, slow down a little at night and support was a 40-minute wait if you ever needed it.
I'm on the fence about jumping to Vodafone, the majority of replies in...
Tried an X-E2s, focusing is well how can I put it, a little lethargic after a DSLR, not that I was expecting it to be as quick but not that slow. The newer bodies seem far better at focusing :) shame really as it's always nicer to buy more glass.
Fuji refurb store has the X-T20 body only for about £650 or £899 with the "kit lens" have used MPB before and have found them good. Think I'll stick to the newer bodies
So I currently have a D7100 and a number of lenses, macro, some primes, long zoom (70-300), 12-24. I'm off on some travels for Christmas long flights and weight limits.
So have been looking to take in my D7100 kits and move to something smaller/lighter but still wanting decent image quality...
Exactly I've put iso on the wifi button.
focus on the macro button as it has changed on the latest firmware so kinda made sense to change it to focus point.
Enjoying it so far and trying to decide between the 35/1.4 or 35/2 now lol
I've decided to keep the Fuji :)
When I manage to get the shot right I prefer how the fuji looks and using the controls on the fuji i also prefer. The X-T2 will be a nice upgrade in the future.
Well I honestly don't know yet, both have pro's and con's.
Going to the local camera club tonight hopefully, get some other opinions and at least have people run through the menus and camera controls.
if size and weight are pretty much mitigated then it's certainly an area that needs serious consideration. when considering it only needs the outlay of an adapter to get some nice glass.
the XE2 with a grip would certainly be welcome the Sony I feel confident with holding without a strap when...
just had a quick search through flickr for a6000 and Minolta WOW some amazing pics from the lenses you've mentioned.
I guess the only sacrifices are weight and size of the lenses over e-mount / M43 but bang for buck it really is amazing.
thanks!!
