If you have 2 inverters, each one supplying 2 cathodes then cut one cathode from each, swap them round and without extending the cable just solder the loose ends together. Just make sure that you cut the wire in exactly the same place on both cathodes. Then just extend the power cable.
Single distilled water is enough to stop any algee growth. We distill our own water to use in dental equipment and in over 2 years of use haven't noticed any biofilm formation or algee growth.
I've used Tygon 7/16 on 1/2 barbs and over a year later had to dismantle the loop and was dreading taking off the tubing but surprisingly it slid off real easy so definately put clamps on.
Why is no one using Tygon tubing anymore, it used to be the best stuff out there 2 years ago, now...
I'm wondering what's the thickness of perspex of your side window? What thickness do the ready made side panels come with?
I've made a window from 3mm thick perspex that i got at B&Q but it think it's not thick enough and resonates more than if i was to use something thicker. Has anyone tried...
decibel scale is a logarythmic scale meaning that 20bd is 10 times as loud as 20db.
And if you are looking for a quiet small fan then you probably will not find one. If you want them to move some air then they will have to be loud.
You will notice the biggest difference between the P4 and Q6600 when you start multitasking or run programs that utilise multiple cores of the Q6600. However I wouldn't expect there to be a HUGE difference in how fast your OS runs.
If you are looking for some software to control your fan speeds then check out SpeedFan. You can program it to increase or decrease fan speeds when certain temperatures are reached, all done automatically. Your mobo should have at least 3 fan headers (maybe even more) that then speedfan can...

I concure, get as big radiator as you can, and even if you have to get a 120.1 or 120.2 the go for the Thermochill PA. The Black Ice GT Stealth is not brilliant, it's the only advantage is its slimline size. I got it a few years ago and it's just OK but i'm getting a PA 120.3 now as i've...
I don't mean sticking the pelt onto the cpu but have like a copper reservoir and stick quite a few of these pelts onto the side of it. Mount it outside the case so that it doesn't pump any heat into the case. If the fridge pelts are not powerful enough then a competitor sells 226W pelts which...
Has anyone ever tried using the peltier from a mini fridge and attaching it to some reservoir which would cool the water instead of using a radiator? Are these peltiers powerful enough to cool a loop? I might try that to find out.
I've got the Asetek Waterchill hard drive cooler. It came with some small opening compression fittings which i've ripped out and will fit 1/2" barbs.
I've used 2cm thick rubber to make a casing for the hard drive, hopefully no noise will escape through that.
