Hey folks, I recently upgraded and passed most my old rig onto my 27 yr lad. He needs a few bits to build it, any chance of some advice for him. Not looking to spend on top end but obviously not cheap and cheerful, especially psu. So parts I gave him : 28" 144hz monitor, a pair of 280x gpu's...

Yeah same connection issues here, another issue I have is that occasionally, the graphic options change to "borderless", whereas I use "fullscreen". However when it does this it also changes my screen size down from 2560x1440 by way of the box underneath which changes to "50". Puttting it back...

Not really, only had about half hour on Modern Warfare last night. Selected the mode "FPS" but everything looks a little greyed out, even this forum background goes grey(ish) rather than the blue. So just switched back to "user" mode and dropped the brightness down a bit (think it was default...

Thanks for that Danny, any advice for a cooler? was thinking of going down the AIO route for a change, the Corsair H45 seems like a decent starting point, a little off putting that it doesn't come supplied with the brackets and I would need to contact manufacturer to sort that out.

So quick question, would a DP to HDMI adaptor be any good, or will the HDMI input on the monitor regulate it to 60Hz ? Or should I get a DP to DVI adaptor ?
