You don’t have to wait the year out, I’m sure you would receive any interest you have accrued.
Also in the same boat and considering T212, although I opted for the monthly interest.
You can buy fractions of anything which T212 offer. They don’t have the global all cap as they don’t have index funds. But they have VWRL/P which will be similar.
You could add another ETF to capture small caps if you really wanted to.
Anyone open the Santander account and opt for monthly interest received theirs yet?
I opened my account 04/09 and added funds so was expecting the interest to be added today.
Also just got one and opted for the monthly interest.
When I plugged the figures into the Compound Interest calculator the interest after 12 months worked out the same between compounding monthly at 5.08% or yearly at 5.2%.
I don’t think it matters. If you had 100k on T212 and they went bust as long as the money is invested in shares and not held in cash you wouldn‘t loose anything as you would still own the shares? You are only using them as a broker. I may be complete wrong though.
