Is this Enclosure and HDD combi any good?

Well, got these two products - the Drive was a DOA, so that has to go back. The ICY Box, I'm not overly keen on, it looks like it has been used before, with definite scratches, will have to take a couple of photos. Not really had a good experience with this recent purchase... has to be...

Is this Enclosure and HDD combi any good?

That's not a prob, I've checked with my Mobo manual and it supports eSATA, so I will be using that. Just to make doubley sure before purchase, I dragged this info from the Manufacturers website but this is for the 361 model and Overclockers sell the 360; will it have all the below spec...

    AMD processor naming convention.

Have been an AMD fan for years, since I got my 600Mhz Beast... since then I've had various AMD setups and they have all been excellent, but have recently jumped ship to the Intel E6300 which I got for an absolute steal... performance is stunning... it seems much quieter than the 3200 64bit AMD...

    What's wrong with Vauxhalls?

Didn't SAAB help out with the Engines and Turbos on the later models? I know the SAAB uses the GM Floorpan also used on the Vectra, the SAAB have strong / powerful engines... not driven the VXR vectra but I'm sure it's an absolute beast.

    Samsung SW206BW 20" Stock/Review/Status

SyncMaster 710N (17in) against SyncMaster 206BW (20in) Re-uploaded to server which will maintain pics It doesn't look like a massive difference, but once you start using it the 17in feels very restrictive in comparison. Hope the pics help you a bit :)

    Samsung SW206BW 20" Stock/Review/Status

Ahh, mines using DVI too, and the 17 isn't, so that seems reasonable; Cheers 4 the input. Yeah, my PC is super quiet, and the Humming isn't loud at all, so it could be that... any way very happy with my £200 spend, for those who are debating whether to buy, definitely do it, it's a fantastic...

    Samsung SW206BW 20" Stock/Review/Status

Yeah, it's a wicked monitor, I'm really pleased with mine so far; games are way, way better, as are movies - and general computing :) Have you tried the Brightness down to Zero, mine is a Humming rather than a Buzz but definitely there, perhaps a slight variation.. as I say, not too fussed...

    Samsung SW206BW 20" Stock/Review/Status

If you lower the Brightness below 90 on the OSD, it starts humming, not a loud hum but definitely noticeable, above 90 it's fine.. after a bit of Searching this seems to be a common problem. Not that it really bothers me TBH, as 90ish seems about right for most applications. Just thought I...

    Samsung SW206BW 20" Stock/Review/Status

Mine arrived this morning and so far I'm very pleased with it. My only complaint would be it makes the 17 sitting next to it look inadequate... and that means I might have to purchase another in a few months! :) For reference, mine is an A-panel...

What Wireless Card to use with Vista?

This is for a friend, I'm still running XP and very happy. But he's just built a new PC, (already installed Vista) and now wants a Wireless Network Card... So, I have two questions 1. Will there be problems with Vista (Home Premium OEM) not rebooting after installing a new network card...

    Samsung SW206BW 20" Stock/Review/Status

Well, I've just recently ordered a 206BW, and will report back when it arrives (nxt week); you can research these things to death and be no better off... you still have to make a decision and go for it. Like someone else said, I think you can get too caught up in what other people think. I...

19inch WS how much smaller then 17inch?

Having said all that, would it be better to go for a 4:3 20in with a resolution of 1600x1200 compared with a 20in WS with only 1650x1050?

19inch WS how much smaller then 17inch?

By the look of that chart, it is based on the dimensions of the screen and not on pixels (although they wouldn't be far off) the 20.1in WS has more vertical pixels than a 19in 4:3, but the chart suggests otherwise. 20.1 WS: 1050 v-pixels 19 4:3: 1024 v-pixels For me, it's far more...

19inch WS how much smaller then 17inch?

I'd go with a 20in WS and use your current ViewSonic as a second screen. You can get the excellent DELL 2007WFP for ~£200 now. I currently have two 17s which have been great, but I yearn for more pixels, so I'm most likely going to get the DELL 2007WFP and use the best 17 for twins, then...
