Problem solved,
Previous owner deleted the fresh install of windows I paid for and only just told me after being afk for a few day...
Really appreciate the help purgatory.
Rebooting fails to post
Entering bios (CSM)
Boot mode selected (legacy+UEFI)
now shows the NVMe (hard drive icon, red in colour no 'u' above it)
And correctly named in fixed boot order.
Moved to 1st position (it's the only drive in the system)
Still not showing in the storage tab of EZ mode...
Enabling UEFI removes all trace of the NVMe from bios except the SSD self test.
Not showing in boot order,
Enabling CSM removes all trace now too.
Doesn't even show in the fixed boot order priorities which it did before.
SSD self test still correctly shows drive.
It was working for Windows to be installed and benchmarked before being sent to me.
Bios's don't just stop recognising drives when you remove hardware for transportation.
Or is that a thing with m.2 and I'm just used to sata SSD's being hot swap able.
Just setting up my X570 gaming plus and it will not boot from my xpg sx8200 pro (fresh install of Windows done by previous owner)
It's named and selected first in boot order but
'not present' in the storage tab (no drives are)
Tried both ports, 'not present' shows when installed in both...
Yes I do, was due to build a new system in it today, but guarantee next day delivery is worthless currently.
Love that case.
And yes I remember your 'central heating' loop.
Last 6 years I've been forced to use laptops due to work.
So bit of a homecoming building a gaming pc for my son.

Oh dear I've just had an urgent message from the SS elves...
Seams that they have mixed up Christmas hamper presents with hamper Christmas presents...
Not only have they bined the card/instructions (didn't want to make it too easy)
But have taken upon themselves to fiendishly wrap each of the...
I have this (was a £1 ish at the time in early access) great little puzzle game - lots of cities to build train systems in, son really like it too.
Starts slow then ramps up quickly - point and click mouse control is odd at first but really quite insightful.
Highly recommended, no wrong...
You could use a drain cleaner with sodium hydroxide in (DO NOT TOUCH IT!!!!)
This with strip the anodised coating without scrubing or sanding (DON'T scrub and flick sodium hydroxide everywhere - chemical burn holes in your floor/walls/furnature will get you in serious trouble with GF's and...
Not really the right place for a spec / recommendations.
What people want to know / see in 'project logs' is either tech pictures or mods (at the very least tidy, colour matched kit)
Is it going to sit on your desk and be bling / or uber quiet and hidden away?
The NZXT case has a very angular...
Used two pairs of koolance LV4 (2nd gen QC before the 'no spill' ones)
Great, but pricey and quite long - the LV4 are as restrictive as a normal barb!
LV3 is the sweet spot and come in no spill versions
Linky
looks like Koolance are on a 4th gen QC now that doesn't even need a 1/4 twist to...
Thanks again to booyaka - your elfster questions were perfect and you picked some really lovely stuff for me.
