When we had Dolby Pro-Logic with a limited bandwidth you had a point but seeing as surround speakers have gotten full bandwidth audio since DD/DTS then you should use similar cable to the fronts really.
I doubt you'll be able to do what you want, it's your display that's doing the scaling and if there's no options for 1:1 mapping then you're out of luck unfortunately.
I'd say you're looking at a HTPC and writing a custom plugin for XBMC or something.
Surely the point of a media player is you watch what you want when you want, why do you want to restrict yourself and fix things at a certain time?
Ordered....damned good offer, my system can be completely SSD now :D
Well I think it's ordered, had to submit a support ticket because the page did nothing after clicking submit after entering the 3 parts of my securecode :/
Well for most things I override the volume control and make it learn the commands for my amp remote. I hardly ever use the TV for sound so it works best.
You can override any command you want with any remote but you'll probably have to manually add it :)
With this heat I started looking at better fans for my PC and discovered it has a second PWM header on my mobo, as well as the CPU fan.
Where would be best to locate this? I can do rear fan or one of two front fans? I've never used them for anything other than the CPU before.
Cheers :)
Paul.
I'm not sure what you mean, they all do? VLC does it etc....it scales to whatever the window size is.
WD Live is not a PC? But yeah most media boxes should have an option for scaling.
I'm not sure of your point. You still have to have the equipment to play back and master from 35mm (or any) film in the same way you do with digital formats? If necessary with digital, masters can be updated and moved to a new format if required without loss assuming lossless masters.

What Hi-Fi? just make me laugh.
But Panasonics new plasmas are looking very nice. Avforums have some reviews up :) I'll be happy to settle with a 50ST50 to replace my aging 37PX70.
Mostly through my Sansa Clip+ and Westone UM3x. At work it's same IEMs through a FiiO E7 from my PC, at home through a Squeezebox and AVR :)
My UM3x are one of the best purchases I've ever made with regards to listening to music. They're not delicate at all, My previous UM2s lasted me 6 years...
