I've seen this same thing happen for years I used to work for one of the phone companies and it happened loads, unfortunately they were normally older people who just handed the package over, the trouble is the direct debit can be anyone's they only need name, address, dob etc to get it ordered.

they offer more because the coverage isn't quite as good as the big 4 networks and they still have a bad rep from when they first launched a few years ago they were terrible. they are a lot better now though. thats IMO anyway

that worked i've not got both in a boot menu but, if i choose the old one it says- system32\hal.dll is missing(which it isn't as i've checked) looks like i'll have to get all the docs i need off it and reformat :(

no i don't get a boot menu it jut loads to the new version of xp. when i deleted the linux partition i deleted the bootmenu for the old xp :(

just to add, most if not all phones from the CPW will be unlocked. so best thing to do is get the sim card you want(free for most off the net) and then get the phone on the cheapest network you can(if you save more than it would be to add another £10 to the sim card you want to use that is.
