    Ghost Recon Wild Lands

I've put 133 hours into Wildlands and loved every minute. I've tried with Breakpoint for maybe 5 hours and I can't bring myself to do much more with it. I can't really put my finger on it but it just seems much more buggy, laggy and unenjoyable. Graphics seem worse on my PS4 Pro compared to...

Moved from Android to iPhone 11 - Think I made a big mistake?

Apart from those apps on the first screen I which I use most regularly, I never hunt for an icon to tap anyway. Swipe down to activate search, type first letter of app, open the app. Homescreens and app drawers are totally redundant for me.

    Netflix - Studio Ghibli

I've never really watched any Studio Ghibli films properly but would really like to try some out, so this is ideal for me. Does anybody have any recommendations where to start with the Netflix rollout please?

Moved from Android to iPhone 11 - Think I made a big mistake?

Same here, loved that Hero with its little nubbin trackball! My first iPhone was an 8 Plus last year and also haven't looked back; all Google products integrated seamlessly. The phone is a beast and 18 months on still runs smooth, fast and with awesome battery life. No stuttering, lag...

    Best 4 Door Coupe?

£1,700 a month saved over 48 months gets you rather close to that £100k deposit. You're in the best position you'll ever be in, with a massive excess of available funds with virtually no outgoings.

    Best 4 Door Coupe?

If you absolutely have to get a shiny new CLA, why not lease one for ~£250/m, save the remaining from your £2k spare and you'd have one hell of a house deposit after a short time. I wish I could have done so when I was 21. Why chuck £30k into a car when you're lving at home when you spend it...

Given the architecture of the venue do you think you can rig something up at a distance to capture some nice reverb?

    OcUK Dadsnet thread

First time solo is always hard; my boy was hard enough and we get on really well. His little sister on the other hand was totally attached to her mum so that was interesting. It's something you're going to have to do sooner or later. Don't worry about your son, kids are extraordinarily...

Interesting, thanks. And yes it absolutely does make sense!

    OcUK Dadsnet thread

My boy is the same age and to be honest you have described him perfectly too. I guess "They all do that sir"! As you say he's just pushing boundaries, possibly combined with a growth or testosterone spurt. We deal with him in the same way as you do, normally with a clear consequence followed...

Anyone with a MiA1, can you help?

My wife's got my old one so I can't check, but I'm pretty sure you can't do this on the A1 unfortunately.

    Dashcams!

I bought the Yi one a couple of weeks ago as something cheap to stick in and forget about and have no complaints so far. It's pretty bare bones so don't expect any features, not even a parking mode. The quality is pretty good though in most conditions. My windscreen is long enough so that I...

Cost for trimming down a load of monster Leylandii trees

If you're going to do it yourself just don't do it with bare arms, that stuff itches like a mofo after a day cutting it back

So in this case it could be those AUX 1-10 that presumably you press the mix button and physically set the levels on the desk, which the app can also do remotely? Like a sub-mix? I'm just curious about the 'mechanics' of it, for want of a better word, how you can have multiple individual...

That's cool. Do you mind expanding on how the individual app-controlled mixes work? Does the desk have some sort of digital line-level output for each channel that is broadcast somehow and you can then mix however you like on the app?

Welcome to another episode of “my house was wired by a clown”

There are four outputs on both of those cream boxes at the bottom, cables from those should just run off up the riser. The adaptable box in the middle is a result of some Grade A bodging. Not to mention, wiring in solid core instead of stranded means that as soon as you tighten the screw down...

Welcome to another episode of “my house was wired by a clown”

Here's one from a hospital. There should only be eight radials of alarm cable using two cores each, instead we've got some horror show of cat5 spliced into choccy block. See also the melted cables from a corrosive spill further up the riser, random cable coiled up behind the PSU, hand-written...
