    RX570 8gb vs RX580 8gb

Exactly Gibbo, it's trying to decide if that extra £50 is really worth it. In terms of how much I game. I play single player, no comp multiplayer, but have a family and don't get a lot of time to game. I have a large back catalogue on Steam from Humble bundles and things so my library is far...

    RX570 8gb vs RX580 8gb

The MSI 570 8gb can be got for a £50-70 discount against the current MSI 580 8gb which OCUK have on TWO @ £230 (best UK price i think)' not quite 2/3 of the price, but close

    RX570 8gb vs RX580 8gb

Guys, I game, but not much, at 2560x1080p and need to update my GFx. Currently there are really good prices on the 570 8gb. Does the extra £50-£80 make that much difference in going to the 580 in the real world?

    24" 1080p 144 / 29" Ultrawide / 24/27 1440p

Ok folks, my monitor is dead and I'm well out of date with monitor tech. I am mixed usage, some gaming (not comp. Multiplayer), photos, surfing, kids homework. i was steering away from TN due to picture quality. My budget is ~£200. Do I go 24" 1080p 144Hz freesync - e.g. MSI MAG24C 29"...

24" partial gaming partial general use advice needed

Hi all. I have a budget of just over £200 for a non-TN monitor. Just over £200 becuase another £25 seems to get more. I would use it for some gaming (not as much as I'd like), web, photos, kids homework, etc. I have already dismissed TN based on viewing angle and colour. For my budget I'm...

Monitor Dead, outdated GFX need advice

Ok, so looking at the prices on OCUK if I drop for a new GFX card first the price drop on the RX580 to £215 looks pretty good, undercutting all but the cheapest 1060s, or save the £35 and take the even cheaper 570, but short term pain of £35 probably gives me longer term gain in performance...

Monitor Dead, outdated GFX need advice

@Sasahara if my monitor hadn't died I would have probably spent ~£200. That is the price point I have bought every GFX card at over the years. I would then have upgraded my monitor 6 months later knowing I had headroom in my GFX card. Now I have to get a monitor I'm in a spin as I don't want...

Monitor Dead, outdated GFX need advice

Guys, I am not a big gamer. I'm now a family man and use the computer as much for photos, internet, kids homework and stuff as I do gaming. My ancient 20" 1650x1050 monitor has just died. Until now my rig has been holding up fine as I don't play particularly up-to-date games, I have a huge...

    Corsair RGB release date.

Let's hope it is not £150 or more for the K70. US MSRP $170. Current exchange rate ~£102. Add the VAT makes it about £120-£125 which I think sounds a sensible price, and this is before the etailers cut the margin to the bone. A £20-30 premium over other 'plain' mech boards retailing for £80-90...

Very Odd? 3 pin fans much quieter on PWM Mobo Headers

In you opinion is it better to have voltage control of a 3 pin fan than PWM? Is set and forget your thinking? (I was about to buy some PWM fans)

Very Odd? 3 pin fans much quieter on PWM Mobo Headers

Ok, here is a strange one for you all: I have a Anidees AI-6 case (very nice) and had a pair of 140mm Corsair AF Quiet Edition fans (3 pin) installed in the front. Using the cases's inbuilt fan header I had them running straight off my PSUs 4 pin molex (12v). Even with the speed reducer...

    CPU Cooler upgrade

I have a Xigmatek Dark Knight SD-1283 Night Hawk Edition CPU Cooler, 1 in stock and good value at £34.99. Reviews well for the price and looks cool in black with a white LED fan. I have it on an i5 but am considering using for a i7-3770k I have but have not installed yet. I'm considering the...

    Well Balanced 140mm case fan

Oh forgot to say these are going in an Anidees case with a door on the front so restricted airflow in front of them, but there will be no hdd cages behind them if that makes any difference.

    Well Balanced 140mm case fan

Hi folks, I am after a couple of 140mm case (not heatsink) fans. Like everyone I want a good balance of noise vs. airflow. Reading around various reviews I have come down to the following shortlist: Corsair AF140 Thermalright TY-150 Silverstone SST-AP141 Air Penetrator Noiseblocker...

Help mending a case I bought from MM

looking closely at the picture good old poly cement (from airfix models) might do it quite well. Do a test somewhere descete first though.

Have you tried muting any mics. If all goes quiet you know you have the types of problem described above.

    Quiet PSU

Yes but you are still paying for Corsair's RMA and a long warranty which is supposed to be very good. I've had 2 XFX seasonic based units fail so no-one is perfect.

UK to Australia .... PC not working!

have you got a multimeter or a PSU tester (or both) you can then check the outputs on each part of the PSU, 12v CPU, 12v GFX, 5v etc. The fact you are getting beeps says some of the PSU is working. Could be you are not getting enough 12v to boot the graphics maybe. I had a similar issue...
