alienware AW3418DW Availability in the UK?

Well had a chance to play around a bit more and while I still miss the 4K resolution and I think it might take a bit of time to get used to the shape I am happy with it. As those issues are balanced out by the 120hz refresh, better colours of the IPS screen compared to TN and the curved UW...

    Your graphics card history tree?

My first was a Vodoo that came withe the machine my 1st real upgrade was a TNT and then a gf2 but is all really vague. But going backwards is a little easy GF RTX2080ti Gf 980ti ATI 7970 ATI 5850 crossfire Gf4 of some description I think and then it’s all a little fuzzy.

alienware AW3418DW Availability in the UK?

Mine arrived today got it setup and played 10min of Doom before I had to pick me son up from nursery, won’t get a chance to try it toll tomorrow now. But 1st impressions are good, while the size and shape feel a bit weird and there is a slight loss of sharpness from 4K that seems balanced out by...

AW3418DW - is it a safe purchase or better monitors on the horizon?

Cheers I think I will order it, worst case I can use Dells no hassle returns policy if I don’t like it.

AW3418DW - is it a safe purchase or better monitors on the horizon?

Ok I got them down to £765 but before I buy I have one last question, I currently run a 28” 4K 60hz screen will I notice a big loss in pixel density going to this and would the increase in MHz and screen size compensate?

AW3418DW - is it a safe purchase or better monitors on the horizon?

Well at that price I don’t see any of the new tech being an issue as it’s all going to be in £2000+ monitors for the foreseeable future by the looks of it. On another note I was looking to get this monitor myself how did you talk dell into the further discount as they killed all the existing...

** The AMD Navi Thread **

It’s pretty much a moot point for me my KFA 980ti hof ln2 died in Oct and kfa were abysmal to deal with and never even responded to my rma requests or emails, so in jan I gave up and started gfx card shopping. Honestly I had not really kept up to date on pc tech as I had just became a dad after...

    ASUS ROG SWIFT PG35VQ

So while looking at the hyper expensive monitors coming out on the various companies sites I noticed Samsung have a new 4K qled TV coming out this year aimed at gamers with hdr10+ FALD, 4k@ 120hz refresh, 8ms response time and FreeSync allegedly for around £1500. So given that tech like...

** The AMD Navi Thread **

Good lord if that’s real it’s pretty grim. At least now we know why amd are not worried about the super cards, Nvidia did not think they would need a 2060 super so it will not effect Navi. But seriously if this is another case of amd over promising and under delivering can they just shut down...

** The AMD Navi Thread **

Yeah sometimes they release sub par products with the same price tag as Nvidia, once the faithful have been milked after the 1st couple of months they drop the price to cry’s of see you can get Amd’s high end card for the price of Nvidias mid range :D

Help spec me a 4k monitor

At 4K as long as you have Nvidia gfx then GSync is way more important than a gimped version of HDR. I have the 28” TN Acer 4K monitor and I have no complaints with it and with gsync my old 980ti could keep the frame rate up even at higher settings.

alienware AW3418DW Availability in the UK?

Quick question I currently have one of the first gen 28” 4K TN monitors and I am very happy with it but sadly it seems to be dying, to get a similarly speced TN or IPS monitor is now more expensive than when I bought it and I cannot afford the new 144mhz 4K monitors. So I can get this monitor...

AMD’s (NASDAQ:AMD) Chances Of Capital Injection Diminish – Negotiations With Silver Lake Stalled

I keep seeing this but to whom are AMD competition? Intel lol, Nvidia the mobile chip makers? AMD have been irrelevant to everyone other than the console makers looking for cheap low end tech for years.

    R9 Nano Review thread

As the only owner of a Nano that horse has all ready bolted, you have effectively paid £10 per 1% of preformance increase over a 970 mini.

I think your only choice would be a KFA2 HOF and at that price the 970.

    what monitor

I have the acer 4k gsync and I have had no issues and am very happy with it. I have a 980ti and it is great addition to gsync at 4k. Imho if only running a single gfx card I would not get a non gsync monitor at 4k.

    Firestrike Standard Bench.

Yay finally, switched over to windows 10 but I think what actually fixed it was disabling gsync should have thought of that earlier. The ASUS Rampage V Extreme Thread

Hi updated to latest bios ok. The issue is that my new 980ti seems to be having issues, as it is scoring well below what it should be in benchmarks even at stock. I have tried a few different drivers with no joy, I have checked that it is not throttling due to heat. I have now installed...
