    4u wall mount

That’s a cracking idea, cheers. Reckon it should work just fine. Why didn’t I think of using two brackets…. I’ve even got a spare set of rails in the loft!

Yeah, I’m leaning towards an extremely sturdy shelf at the moment…

    4u wall mount

Does anyone have any ideas how best to mount a 4u server case to a wall? I want it ‘flat’ so the bottom of the motherboard is parallel to the wall, and horizontal, so the back and front are horizontal. Been scouring the internet and best I could find are ones that would hang the server off a...

Quad monitor stand help and suggestions please

Just bought a sim rig stand that goes on the floor for multi monitors, might be worth thinking about. Liked the idea I could just change everything as its made from aluminium profile.

    Found a well…

So I’ve been looking at those garden hand pumps, and using the water is on the cards. I’m actually leaning towards solar/wind powered pumps :) and filling up one of those 100ltr containers.

    Found a well…

We have quite a few other projects at the moment, so this one is now waiting until it dries up a bit, we’ll be digging out around it a bit more, and putting in a path that’s likely to encircle it.

    Found a well…

I’m still alive, I did escape from the well! So to be honest, there isn’t much to update… it’s sort of finished. We had it built up by a friendly (old school) bricky, and it looks, like a well… :D We did find someone selling a hardened glass table top from a 70’s cruise ship, and it fitted...

    Found a well…

Yeah, it’s about 3” across, old ceramic pipe. Two ‘regular’ bricks cover it.

    Found a well…

Mostly, we will build it up to ground level with brick, and then plan to put a more traditional style ‘garden well top’ on it. Then it will depend on water quality. Either just for gardening, or maybe plumbing in to the house if it’s clean enough. It’s not n a great position for that though…

    Found a well…

No clue, but I don’t think it’s that old. There was a windmill round here a couple of hundred years ago, it’s possible something to do with that. The area was quite ‘rich’ back then, being the supplier of oysters to most of southern England (until they poisoned a load of important folks…) Also...

    Found a well…

Shoved a 28ft drain rod down it and it didn’t touch the bottom :). that’s why I said _at least_ an extra 28ft - I don’t actually know how deep the pipe goes… we are quite close to the coast so I doubt it’s that far, but there is apparently an underground river somewhere round here - might be...

    Found a well…

the ladder is aluminium, and we only put it down there when we are actually going down - there is no permanent one. and yes, that pipe is right next to it, and you can just make out a few bubbles in the puddle, and the top bit of that puddle is very round - that’s the top part of the really...

    Multi-zone Smart Thermostat

Tado gets my vote. Geofencing, HomeKit and zoned heating - when I got it, they were the only brand offering all 3.

    Found a well…

Where the pipe goes down in to the ground, there is some sort of wood structure. Next task for us, now most of the yuck is out, is cleaning

    Found a well…

So, an update! Finally, sorry for the delay, but we’ve had a few setbacks, mostly around the weekends with decent enough weather, seemed to also have followed a week where it rained - meant the well filled up faster than the pump could handle… but today we got to the bottom! 14ft down, the last...

    LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

Are folks using a monitor arm for these things? I want it fairly far back on the desk, and am a little concerned it might get knocked/jiggled because it moves a lot (standing desk)
