£25 a week extra on my state pension

    A. The wife is 10 years younger than me and has another 18 months before she becomes a pensioner. B. I was stupid enough to put some money into savings instead of blowing it on coke and hookers so don't qualify for any pension credit

£25 a week extra on my state pension

I'm a few months too old apparently to qualify for the new state pension so am immediately £50 a week poorer than you as the old state pension I'm on is £169 and some pennies p/w.

    endoscopy

I've had two, first one I was sedated for as they used it to also cut into my common bile duct to remove the gallstones blocking it that nearly killed me with pancreatitis. Second one at QMC just had the throat spray and again a procedure using a fine needle to aspirate one of the resulting...

    Tate Brothers - Round 2

I think his big mistake was posting pics of his gaff showing that actually he was doing pretty good for himself, that's when the green eyed monster awoke and it was decided he must be banished.

I had a similar problem with the tv keep coming on and going off at random and it turned out to be a short in the side buttons, I unplugged the cable from the power board to them (back off job) and hey presto fault cured.

This is why people are losing respect for the police...

The only way I can see the person in distress receiving an electric shock on that part of the ECML is if he was attempting to climb the OHLE catenary

Non traditional build property, is the estate agent legally obliged to disclose.

Timber framed with a brick skin. Doesn't this describe most new builds or have I got this wrong?

How easy is it to replace a clutch?

I had a Herald back in the 70's. You're right about the whole front coming off, mine did after a rather sharp stop at a junction :D Pulled all the wiring apart but after hooking the bonnet back on I managed to drive home down pitch dark back lanes with just the light from a flashing left...

    Massive Car insurance costs?

Always start looking at comparison site renewal prices 21 to 28 days prior to your policy expiring. This is when you'll get the best deal, leaving it until you get your renewal (I notice insurers have sneakily stopped telling you what it'll be until the last possible moment) marks you as someone...

Domestic wind turbines - any real world reccomendations?

Nothing attached to a house is going to produce any meaningful amounts of power due to turbulence around the building itself. Remember those Windsave things you could get from B&Q etc , cost more to run the electronics than was ever produced. I've had Solar PV and Solar Hot Water here for 12+...
