Well now I'm confused as I booted into Ubuntu and ran the disk utility on that, it says the status of everything is good. So why is HDtune highlighting them? Okay after some Googling it seems every Seagate 1tb drive is getting the same results as me. Guess it's no big deal.

I think it's a no brainer that the next gen of consoles are all going to be 1080P. You can get a 1080P TV for like $350 in the US now I think. It's gonna happen.

The difference will be bigger on a projector because the screen area is much larger. I've already said that distance and screen size are the important factors here. 37", 5 feet back, 1080P vs 720P Blu-Ray is identical. I've tested it myself, either way Band of Brothers was looking fantastic.

I don't care for 1080P on console either, it only makes a difference depending on how far away you sit and how large your TV is. Alan Wake ran at some crazy low, 560P or something resolution yet it's one of the best looking games on the console. Resolution is not the be and end all.
