I think the firmware update for the GW4 Classic 4G 46mm has only just been released. I have been checking every day and it only became available today. I think the Bluetooth version of the watch may have received the update a week ago.

No problem. Just be aware that it plays a loud ringtone when it is ejecting water.

Obviously, you have to turn it on first by pressing the button with 2 drops on it in the Quick Panel. You then hold the top button on the side of the watch for 2 seconds to turn it off.

Like the previous Galaxy Watches, I think water is ejected when you turn off Water Lock. At least that's what it says it's doing on my GW4 when I turn off Water Lock.

Would the hype/buzz not be much greater over the next few weeks running up to 28 October if they had shown something that could clearly beat a 3080? I find it odd they would hold back their best benchmarks or at least not hint at them in some way.

I would ignore the unofficial calculator for any orders after 17 September as it assumes every order since 2pm on 17 September has been for a 3080, which clearly it has not. Therefore, it is prone to over-estimating later orders. Even for orders on 17 September, it will likely be a fair amount...
