20mph residential speed limit (replacing 30mph)

I do. Just one click. Takes far less effort than thinking about modulation of the throttle pedal, particularly so if you go up and down hills. IMO it’s also more polite to other motorists, as it eliminates the potential for wandering up and down speeds on say a motorway.

20mph residential speed limit (replacing 30mph)

Here’s a question for those complaining about 20mph limits, ie did you keep to 30mph limit over say the last couple of years?

    That’s simply not true

Educate me about roof bars/bike carriers.

If you have a tow ball, it’s worth looking at a bike carrier that can be mounted on one. I had one on our Volvo and really liked it. Much easier than trying to lift heavy bike onto the roof of a car

20mph residential speed limit (replacing 30mph)

Part of the issue here is that a small minority of drivers feel “entitled” to ignore whatever road laws exist. Regardless of their driving ability or circumstances at that time, the bigger issue is the example they set for the lemmings out there, who just go with the flow, but often with bugger...

20mph residential speed limit (replacing 30mph)

How did you ever pass your test if you’re not able to maintain a consistent speed? Can you manage to maintain 30mph? Can I suggest that your next car has cruise control that will work at 20mph

20mph residential speed limit (replacing 30mph)

Doesn’t anyone here just use cruise control?

Old Games Kept Alive By Community?

Have a scan at Falcon 4. The community update is called BMS, and gives an amazing overhaul, including new maps, aircraft, and updates to all sorts of systems. They even added VR support. Amazing

    Blank Canvas Home Cinema Build

Some thoughts for consideration: - sound proofing. If it’s a build from scratch, you might aswell update the interior panels to also have sound proofing capabilities - lay in at least one additional dedicated mains spur - have a think about colours and lighting in the room. Certain paint is...

    Spec me a streamer/DAC

Balls, I’m down in Surrey, and I’d be very uncomfortable to post it. It supports upto 2496. Shame really, as you’d have been able to test it out against some new gear to see how it compares

    Spec me a streamer/DAC

Where in the country are you, I’ve got an old Meridian unit if you wish to test out how old/not cheap compares to new

Upgrade bookshelf to floor standers or get a SUB (for music)

What’s the source and amp? Pointless putting good speaker on the backend of a pants source.

    FS 2020 Setup

I currently use a Quest Pro, which when I bought it was a good solution as it was on sale and the specs are still pretty decent. The key benefits over the Quest 3 being the local dimming, better optimised lenses and eye tracking. The eye tracking being the most important, as we currently have...

Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

The Falcons look lovely. I had a pair of the Quad 11s for a while. Lovely looking, but left me rather underwhelmed.

    FS 2020 Setup

The NLR seat looks like a decent turnkey solution, ie already designed and probably very easy to setup. There’s a lot of positive users in the DCS community. Another option worth considering is a decent 8020 Aluminium frame solution. Once you’ve got some confidence about using it, it’s VERY...

Quest Pro with VR lens inserts

Here’s a question for other QP users who use prescription lens inserts. My lens inserts are from VR Opticians. Great lenses, however there way of attaching them in the QP is frankly a bit pap. I had a Pico4 for a while, and they facilitated magnetic mounting, which were ace. In the QP it’s...

Do bookshelf speakers have to be on a stand?

The last set of stands I had weighed approx 30kg (each) and were full of dry sand, so were basically dead. What kind of cabinet do you have that’s more solid?

The last game you completed, and rating.

Play it how ya like want, no one is forcing you to use tougher characters. For example, you can use the provided characters and avoid multiclassing. That on its own increases the challenge.
