    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

It is linked to FG for me. Never had a crash since launch, now crashing within mins since the latest updated. Disable FG and no crashes, re-enable and starts crashing again.

RTX 4070 12GB, is it Worth it?

A bonkers price for that class of card if it's anything near £750!

I'm biased but the Gigabyte Gaming OC has been excellent in all regards with zero coil wine for me.

hehe, i do play the odd game that utilises the power :) I found going lower than 950mV wasn't stable for my target speeds, worked up from 2600mhz and settled on 2700mhz.

I think i'm on the slient bios on mine with an unvolt to 950mV, 2700mhz target, +1400 memory and a custom fan curve to keep it passive most of the time* unless heavy usage. *I play a lot of indie games that don't work the gpu that hard

Same with my Gigabyte card, quiet, cool and no coil whine. One of the best cards of this generation i reckon, certainly from a value perspective!

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

If the market changes enough to cloud gaming then the perspective changes. It won't be who is top of the gpu charts (sadly likely still Nvidia), it'll be who has the gpu grunt in the rack for their service and dgpu numbers will become moot. Besides do you seriously think AMD's 10% dgpu market...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Get the feeling Nvidia are edging us towards making buying gpus unaffordable for the vast majority to push people towards their Cloud gaming services. This will hook people into a subscription business model and also plugs the gap of not earning anything from second hand gpus.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Yeah £749 - £799 is the sweet spot for this card imo and Nvidia would then struggle to keep up with demand

I had the same dilemma and went for the Gigabyte Gaming OC. I thought why not for not much more than an FE for improved cooling, acoustics, dual bios, longer warranty. I've not been disappointed, cool, quiet, fast as hell and zero coil whine in my system.

Agree with this to a point. RT on vs off is fantastic and the world does look amazing with it but i wouldn't say it looks terrible without RT. The game is gorgeous as it is, RT adds a lot or a little but either version is still an amazing. My screenshots in the spoiler tags. 4k, Ultra+, RT...

To answer my own question, it does seem that retail cards have the yellow tape. OverclockersUK mass unblocking video below shows a freshly opened card with the tape. https://youtu.be/FpgM2S4FwR8?t=758

Just a quick one for any Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC owners. Did your card have yellow Gigabyte certified tape sealing the card in the anti-static bag? I got mine and had this, thought it might have been a factory refurb card sold as new. This isn't from Overclockers but another e-tailer where...

Agreed and the conclusion my friend and I speculated on. It's always fun with launch reviews to try and weed through the umpteenth CyberPunk, CSGO, Spiderman etc. score looking for games that might be comparable to smaller indie titles using UE / Unity. Someone needs to inc Ark, 7 Days...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

^^This many times over! While AAA title testing is great for baseline performance, it's not always reflective of smaller indie titles even on powerful hardware. Case in point, a friend of mine plays a lot of Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic. They upgraded their 1080ti to a 6800XT Red...
