    Questions regarding LG 27UD68P

Does anyone know if the 27UD68P is capable of more than 60Hz at 1080 or 1440 resolutions? I took a look at the product datasheet and all it references are 60Hz so it looks unlikely? Also they appear to be bringing out a 27UD68P-B and I saw a review of the 27UD68P which mentioned it has terrible...

    M.2 SSD prices sky rocketed?

Wouldn't cause them to double in price though. Even when the factories in Taiwan got knocked out due to flooding the prices of disks only increased by about 10-20%.

    M.2 SSD prices sky rocketed?

About a week ago I was checking the price of a 120GB M.2 SSD and they were circa £25. Now looking, they've almost doubled to £45. What gives?

    I3 6100 overclocks (apparently)

Seems like the overclock isn't limited to Asrock boards: http://www.game-debate.com/news/?news=18867&game=None&title=Simple%20BIOS%20Update%20Is%20Enough%20To%20Unlock%20All%20Intel%20Skylake%20CPUs%20For%20Overclocking

    Xmas come early

Well it all arrived. CPU is good, it dynamically clocks from 3.4 up to 4GHz as you load it up. Seems the only thing which is locked in this version is the BCLK which is fixed at 100MHz, with the 40x multiplier = 4GHz max frequency. Board seems good, no problems so far.

    Xmas come early

Appreciate the input guys. I went for the Asus Z170i Pro Gaming. Seemed cheap, very middle of the road and ticked all the boxes with regards usb 3.1, ac wifi, bluetooth, m.2 2280 and other form factors. Sticking a set of Corsair 16GB 3200MHz into it. Job done.

    Xmas come early

About a month ago I was browsing a certain website, and spotted an i7-6700 advertised in the market place @ £209.00 but sold by the main website's market place account. Bit dodgey, advert appeared to contradict itself, as specs detailed "i5" and "65w". However the title and the picture clearly...

    HDMI to DVI

Thanks for your insight, you're correct I was mistaking DVI-I as analogue only. I thought that the PC must be providing an analogue output but then face-palmed when I realised the output is HDMI so it must be digital! I contacted the manufacturer, and under certain output modes I am able to...

    HDMI to DVI

Just read the above, if correct might as well take the box back and get a new TV. Not sure you're 100% correct though about conversion between hdmi and dvi. If the input is dvi-i then it would need to be converted from a digital hdmi signal to an analogue dvi-i signal. The problem with that is...

    HDMI to DVI

Hi there, I've got an old LCD TV, model Hitachi 26LD6200. I've just bought a new Freeview box, a Manhatten Plaza which has a HDMI output, I wanted to connect the HDMI to the TV, but I think the TV only supports DVI-I, the manual says "DVI Input (PC Only)", and I can't get my passive...

Morex Mini-ITX case hard drive space problems

I've just picked up a Morex 2799, but the supplied bracket only allows for 1 x 3.5" hard drive to be fitted. Without the hard drive bracket, if you stack 2 x 3.5" hdd's up inside the case, there's plenty of room for the both of them, so does anyone know of a way to safely mount 2 3.5" hdd's into...

    They are Here

Hi Chaps What's the cut off time for ordering? I've only just managed to order one now at 2:30, will I still manage to get it before the weekend?

AMD gets phenomenal with Phenom processors

So I have to ask, what's the point? We barely have any software at the minute which caters for two cores let alone 4, and most just uses multi-threading to split portions of the program anyway meaning an indivdual core is usually being utilized more than the other, since they're not equally...

DDR 3 - On Pre Order - CORSAIR!

Hiya, where are you getting your figures from because from what I understand 1066 is the clock in MHz as well as representing the data throughput in Megabits, so what are you basing your 50% clock for clock statement on?

DDR 3 - On Pre Order - CORSAIR!

highest official speed for ddr2 is 1066, however it is also cas 7 I dont know why people are taking this attitude that ddr3 is being forced on us, or even comparing it to the failings of rambus, scare mongerng I think, I'm quite happy about ddr3, and looking forward to owning some, I think it...

DDR 3 - On Pre Order - CORSAIR!

They aren't worse timings than DDR2 memory, the 1066 DDR2 at 1.8V is CAS7 also, the CAS5 stuff is non-Jedec at 2.2V, OCZ will probably pump out some equivolent for DDR3. DDR3 was originally said to offer many improvements over DDR2, I don't think Intel would jump the gun over that.

    Micron unveils DDR2-1066 RAM

I think micron are first to market with 1.8v at PC8500, previously the official DDR2 highest speed was considered PC6400 since manufacturers producing parts faster than that are using non JEDEC compliant voltages. That's why this is such big news.

    Java .jar - NoClassDefFound problems

Use the explicit path to the 1.5 JRE, it will be an updated API problem. Since the old JRE is also included in the JDK, it's probably calling the old since it will be in the environment paths.

Official "I don't know what make of P35 Motherboard to buy" Thread

Y'know I always get the feeling these bridge-the-gap chipsets are going to be poor performers and quickly outdone by a new P40 chipset release without the legacy DDR2 support some months later. I mean you wouldn't recommend a 915 to a P4 owner who wanted the best performance would you?
