There are no aftermarket coolers for ati cards that have a good vrm heatsink. Thats what's wrong with the trad-2 and the same applies to the S1 cooler, which was the best cooler for the 4870 until the trad-2.

Yeah only Furmark produces such high temps. I've run games 6+ months on the 8000gt + accelero with no problems.

Only tried Furmark today, i dont know whether it would be safe to run it with low fan speeds for 6+ hours as it would probably kill the card. My pcb/ambient temp is 63 after running 5 mins of Furmark and yet i could run Crysis 2+ hours and it would be 52c.

Only Furmark seems to do it. Probably because all the fans in the system are running at 400rpm and theres not much airflow.

Sorry i could'nt get back to you sooner but the vista load time is 35 seconds from starting the pc to getting into windows with 15 seconds of that time used on the motherboard screens before vista loads. I'm not sure how long the install took but no longer than a normal hard drive.
