Battle of Britain: 75th anniversary of 'Hardest Day'

Sadly nothing was planned over these parts. Was tempted to venture over to Duxford but the pants weather & possibility of it being scrubbed put me off. Must have been quite a spectacle. The gathering they had at RIAT this year was ace & that was nowhere near this scale.

    RIAT 2015

Out of curiosity where were you parking yourselves along the crowdline? Was sat down in the Red zone not far off the Cotswold Club enclosure. Pretty good spot for the Fast Jets on take-off but not so much my hearing. RAF Rescue Seaking by Pete Kent, on Flickr Mirage 2000N, Ramex Delta...

    RIAT 2015

Some fantastic stuff going on in here. I'm just about half way through uploading stuff, Flickr is being a right pain. RIAT was my first chance to get out with my newly acquired D7100. Bit of a jump but got a few shots I'm really happy with. Did really struggle with the heat haze in the...

    RIAT 2015

Loving the A400 & F-18 shots. Venturing off there tomorrow, never been before so really looking forward too it. Hoping for decent weather as it's a bit of a journey & an early start to get there.

    Vulcan Flyover

Probably a lot less complex than a current F1 Wheel. Pretty poor weather yesterday so I went to go see her pass at Norwich Aviation museum instead of Marham in case the flight was cancelled. Place was packed! Could have done with some sunshine but having a P-51 buzz us made up for that. Was...

    Vulcan Flyover

Didn't quite get as good a tour as that, in there for about half an hour but with 6 of us in there on a hot old afternoon that was about as long as was comfortable. Very toasty :D Did smell well good though. Proper historic musk going on. It's still like a living thing too. The instruments etc...

    Vulcan Flyover

Saw her at Clacton last year & I'll try catch a decent spot as she comes this way on her Salute to the V-Force tour at the end of the month. With a bit of luck I'll be able to make it to RIAT. Fantastic bit of kit & a credit to those who got her back in the air. Ended up at Solway Aviation...

Popped down the local US WW2 memorial museum day out recently, usually have some interesting cars knocking about & I wasn't disappointed. Some ace little Model A's. Also spent Tuesday out in the Lakes & Dales with a wide selection of cool stuff. From a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow...

What have you done to your car today?

Renault were after £182 for just a pair of front springs, at that price they can jog on! Shocks are not so bad at £50 a corner & top mount kit is another £35 a side. Thankfully everything else cleaned up nicely it's just the exhaust that'll need doing at some point soon now.

What have you done to your car today?

Had the N/S/F coil break at some point, car has been driving fine but had an awful knocking at full lock appear last week. It had clearly been broken for longer than that! Got the shock out after much swearing and it was broken at bottom & top  I'd always planned to keep it...

If it belongs to who I think it does what else are you've got to spend 50-60k a week on something.

I cant say I'm a fan of the new Ghibli at the best of times but it's even worse if full Footballer Spec. Some weird purple/blue matte wrap going on.

What have you done to your car today?

Precisely why I don't use it. That and the extortionate price. No fancy lube, I've got some Bilt Hamber clay which is perfectly happy with good old water.

What have you done to your car today?

Sun was out proper today so had a decent chance to clean it. First time I've been able to get a clay bar on it & I think it's a case of if rather than when it has even been done before. Managed to get some of the finer swirls out but ideally needs a good machine polish to get it looking spot on...

Would have probably been better, they were far away & the One M8 isn't known for its stellar camera.

I'd hazard a guess and say it was an owners club lunch, perhaps 15 cars set off, 12 made it & only 7 managed to enjoy lunch and go home afterwards :p

More Aston Martin Lagonda's than you can shake a stick at. Parked up at a local restaurant. I'd assumed they had broken down but later saw them out on the road, sound was superb unlike the quality of the picture.

    Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Being black it was but 5 minutes before mine was filthy again, you can watch the dirt just walk up the road and sit on it. Ideally I'd wanted Racing Blue but the only one popped up round here & was gone in an instant. Took this one purely because of its history & belts/dephaser being done in...

    Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Exactly the same route I took in december. Took awhile to find a decent one which had the belts done but it was worth the effort. The buyers guide on there was pretty good as were the FAQ's on the technical part of the forum. Pretty much the only reason I signed up to Cliosport was the...
