Toasty. That's why I dropped my 3900x 4.3Ghz all core overclock. Could get through cinebench without going over 82c but a 1 hour stress would see it spike over 90c at which point i'd get crashes. I'm just running a twin tower air cooler though.

Shame he didn't test single thread work loads. Yeah 55C is low but my guess is people with good water setups will be seeing better boosts than those on air like me. Previously I figured so long as load temps stayed under 80C all was good. Could still be related to AGESA 1.0.0.3AB, hopefully...

With PBO are you seeing sustained core boosts over 4.4Ghz or just getting brief flashes for a second or so?

It's the constant spinning up and down that is annoying. Set mine to a flat 40% (almost silent) then ramp up as goes over 60 degrees (only on full load):

Not too happy with the temps / stability of my 4.3Ghz & LLC:High 3667C16 @ 1.325v overclock, so gone back to playing with PBO settings. Multi-core boost i'm getting around 4.14Ghz, single core still not going over 4.3Ghz that I can see. Running ram at 3667C16, tried lowering to 3555, 3200 etc...

Some great testing there, shame it's still only seeing 4.353Ghz on single core boost. Only a slight single core gain over 4.3Ghz all core which is easily achievable on the same power settings with similar temps. I'm still thinking a agesa update might help us 3900x owners see PBO hit 4.6Ghz...

Under the tweaker tab set CPU vCore to normal then you can set the dynamic vCore below it. I'm at work but struggling to resist the temptation to run benches and tinker with settings over RDP, never ends well.
