Agree with mr sk8 here.
when I look at my time above 3.6kwh on my inverter its actually quite rare that I spend much time above that.
Most high draw appliances, dishwashers, ovens, washing machines only do little spurts of high draw.
Even things like tumble driers spend a lot less time using...
Inverters are more efficient closer to capacity than running at a low % level.
Its partly one of the reasons people overpanel as it means the inverter will be running in the more efficient part of its curve more often.
18.9 yesterday and like many it was a random mix of weather
Today looking similar
We have just entered the sunniest 6 months, its only up from here :)
My first 20+ day was Apr 2nd 2023, so I think its easily possible now, just need a good day.
I am just over 100 behind target for the month so...
I had a nightmare deciding on Tshirt colour earlier.
With the ramifications to world peace depending on which colour I choose obviously.
I guess Zefan is struggling with the whole if a branch falls off a tree and no one is in range to hear it did it matter type question.
To be honest I stopped working on it pre xmas when it got cold.
I was plotting charge vs temps and when I had a decent chunk of data I planned to see if there was any correlation. Found that excel has it handily.
I need to go back and pull all the data since. I will check vs starting and ending...
My hybrid does whole house EPS (the main house tails were diverted to go into the system so it could perform this function), and discharges at 5.5kwh. Its notionally a 5kwh. But will allow 200% overpanelling (10kwp) and 150% solar generation (7.5kw)
Its a solax, although apparently they do have...
ROFL now some are equating illegal acts to a legal act as some kind of gotcha.
Absolutely bonkers.
Amazes me how fragile some are.
I guess we need to ban male makeup and have some kind of morality police to enforce it ;)
AIO (inc powerwall) are also less efficient if your generating solar to send to them.
Hybrid inverters will send DC to the batteries, where as an AIO will have the panels inverter convert to AC and then its converted back to DC by the AIO.
Makes no diff for grid charging but its extra...
To be fair that happened in both directions. Zefan quoted two people taking to task their comments (in a fairly direct way).
Suggest you go back and read his post if you don't remember, as you appear not to have from your above comment.
Again, from my perspective (I don't care either way, and...
The considerations are more now about the future than just now.
Pressurised (system)* > combi > old vented
Especially when you add in being able to use off peak tariffs for heating water etc.
Have a think about the future before you make a decision.
Personally having had a system boiler I...
Some seemed to display a strong reaction to a fairly low impact situation, generally when this happens its a fair sign that someone has taken offence or is heavily influenced by a situation.
I suspect Octopus will opt you in to both via one opt in
I believe the requirements for the NG are that you have to opt in as an individual, but I think they would allow a single signup as being within the rules
