    Show Us Your Motors!

Just had the M2 detailed last week. It costs a bomb these days, and because the front end is PPF'd (which somehow had a lot of swirls in it) the cost was a bit more than usual. I feel its well worth it though.

Anyone going to the Birmingham NEC Classic Car Show this week?

Just got back from NEC today. It really is one of the best shows of the year I’d say, a good variety of cars. Car park pricing and general food/drink pricing was quite ridiculous. Think I paid £8 for a sausage in a roll (probably cost 50p to make). Starbucks pricing was at least 30% higher...

    Show Us Your Motors!

It’s a difficult one and I still don’t know if I made the right call. Basically ever since getting the m3 I’ve always thought that I miss my old M2 (which was the LCI with n55 engine). I initially did look at the older model but there is something about the comp. I’m convinced a lot of the body...

That was the best I could get. It was in a roped off area. This Jaguar was next to it, project 8 I think? But I'm not certain.

    Show Us Your Motors!

Said goodbye to the M3 a month ago. Think I'm glad to be back in a M2, but I will miss the M3.

Is BMW Extended Warranty Worth It?

Had the M3 a year, so the warranty is due for renewal in February. I was initially questioning whether to go for it or not, having extended a year on the M2 full comp and never used it, however for piece of mind I think I will just go ahead. It's £875 with a £250 excess for full comprehensive...

*** The Car Cleaning Thread ***

The roads are shocking. Washed last night, car was gleaming, then 10 miles local driving and it looks just as bad as before the wash. Certainly notice how the roads that don't get salted actually dried up today so would have been fine, but the rest were so greasy and wet. Definitely going to...

BMW 120d E82 - Coup - 2010 - Drivers side door wont open or close - frost - See inside for info

It’s most likely the window that’s not dropping as you open the door because it’s frozen. And if you keep trying the motor burns out/stops trying to put the window down altogether. Usually takes a while to warm up enough to get it working again. Very common on some coupe cars.

    GTD Vs GTI

I would definitely go with the GTI. It will be a much better experience all round, and at that mileage not worth going diesel.

    Show Us Your Motors!

Collected the car from the detailers today. Absolutely unbelievable...feels like a brand new car to me. Even though it looked great in photos, the paint did have quite a bit of swirls, more in some places than others and I've always wanted to get a car detailed properly and then coated with...

*** The Car Cleaning Thread ***

I'm debating whether or not to proceed with getting a full detail done on the car. Stage 1 machine polishing and then Gtechniq ceramic coating on all paint + wheels. I feel like it is worth doing and I would appreciate however the cost took me by surprise. Fairly certain I am going to proceed...

Collecting Cars - Coffee Meet this Sunday at Donington Park Circuit (9am onwards) with over 1500 cars

I think it was the biggest car event I’ve been too, even compared to like the NEC shows. I thought it was very well organised considering the number of cars trying to get in the morning. Not many places could handle such a thing and I’m glad it didn’t mean driving in or parking in a muddy...
