    TSOHost

Same experience here. Loads of issues with TSO. Slow customer support. Supposed malware on my sites even though I couldn't find anything (and neither could they). Downtime. Failure to properly manage Let's Encrypt. Plenty of price rises. Went to another provider and they have been a...

Would this system be good for photography

Yeah as Tetras said, they are using the GPU a bit more. But it really depends the sort of tasks you'd be using the machine for. If it's the same workload as what you were running on your old PC then I don't think it would stretch the GPU much.

    mobile WiFi

Indeed, well to me it looks like some of scam to be honest. If it did something useful I'd expect that a major brand like TP Link or Asus would offer something similar.

    Photoshop file which multiple images

You should be able to do this natively in Photoshop I think... https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/export-artboards-layers.html Alternatively there are Actions that will do this I'm sure.

    Alienware M17 R5

That looks pretty good to me. Laptops have gone up quite a bit in price over the last few years.

    Noises since upgrade

I'd suggest you want to strip away as much as possible and then re test by adding stuff back in. For example, if it is something to do with the fans, disconnect them and then retest. It's also possible it's coil whine from the GPU or something similar, which you can't really do anything about.

    mobile WiFi

Can't even figure out what it's supposed to be. Is it a dongle of sorts that you plug into the phone? What is it supposed to do? Why would it be any better than the phone's existing WiFi?

    Nothing Phone 2/a

I'm tempted to pick one of these up as my Pixel 7 is having a few issues, and the Pixel 8 just doesn't look worth it. Has anyone tried Android 14 on the Nothing Phone 2?

Spec me a mobo for Ryzen 7 5800X CPU

Can speak for the Aorus Elite. I have the B550 AORUS ELITE AX v2 and it has been great. A few teething problems at the start (2 years ago) but since then super duper reliable. Paid £105 for it I think. Decent looking board too.

Google Pixel 8/8 Pro & Pixel Watch 2

Yeah, £260 for my Pixel 7. Hard to know whether it's worth it yet.

    How old is your smartphone?

Went Pixel 5 (which was awesome), to Pixel 6 (which I bought because shiny shiny and then regretted) to Pixel 7 which sorted all the issues I had with the Pixel 6. Will consider the Pixel 8 if it's the right price.

Google Pixel 8/8 Pro & Pixel Watch 2

It looks like it will be a better upgrade than the 6 -> 7 (which I only did because I had so many issues with the 6). But it depends on the pricing for me whether it will be worth the upgrade this time. I hear the price will be higher...

Connecting a Macbook Pro M1 to a high refresh display

So if anyone wants to know, I managed to get my Macbook to output to 2560x1440 @ 120hz on HDMI by swapping my existing USB-C hub for a UGREEN USB C Hub HDMI (4K 60Hz, 6 IN 1). Of course it's a bit disappointing not being able to go higher than 120hz but it's still a lot better than 60hz!

Connecting a Macbook Pro M1 to a high refresh display

What's confusing though is that people seem to be able to get it working with HDMI at a higher refresh rate: https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/comments/jz14ba/m1_macbook_refresh_rate_on_external_monitor/...

Connecting a Macbook Pro M1 to a high refresh display

Hi folks, I recently bought an Alienware AW2723DF and have connected it to my gaming PC via DisplayPort. High refresh rate works perfectly. I also have a Macbook Pro 13" M1 connected via a USB-C hub to the HDMI port on the monitor, which only offers 60hz. According to Dell I should be able...

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

Yeah the 545 is pretty garbage and seems to exist only to provide something to grind to get access to the better guns. The 74U and the 9K are both great. The 9K is currently my sub of choice; finally allowing me to cane it around the map and instadeath anyone who looks in my direction.

Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

Disappointed there are no deals on the P7 and P7 Pro from Google for Black Friday. Maybe judging from other retailers they are trying to clear stock of the 6 and 6 Pro. Weirdly I was trying to dial a number the other day on my 6, and it just kept saying 'server error' in the phone app...

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

Been playing predominantly objective based game modes at the moment. The number of players who don't understand Kill Confirmed in particular is amusing. 15 kills but no captures? Are you serious mate? No wonder your team lost :D

Thanks for the tip. I'm loving it so far, just unlocked it. Doesn't need any attachments to perform really well.
