Mine wouldn't boot initially with this RAM, simply reset the BIOS using the switch on the back of the board and turn the PC on, it will come up fine. There is no need to get hold of any other RAM.
Change the RAM voltage in the BIOS and save the settings then everything works perfectly well.
Thanks for the advice, I've changed the memory and CPU as you suggested.
Is there any idea how long it will be before the 8800 GT cards are released, they are all showing as preorder at the moment. I don't mind waiting a week or so but I want to play CoD4 on a decent PC!
I haven't built a PC since Pentium III days so I'd just like a sanity check of what I've specced please. I think from research on this forum and the net everything should work together.
The Q6600 seems to clock pretty reliably over 3Ghz? Otherwise I might consider a E6850 as they are pretty...
